  1. First time I've even seen that. Why were we supposed to improve after December? The injuries have only gotten worse including a solid reliable keeper being replaced by one that's completely out of his depth at this point. Its astonishing were roughly where we were then.
  2. Its not as simple as just being 'ruthless' with these new rules otherwise it would happen, honestly it already would have happened. That we cant bring in the players we could without the rules is one thing, but who, with the same financial restrictions, is going to want and pay decent money for the players were wanting to offload. Lower level teams are going to be much more reticent to take million pound punts on topflight cast-offs who in turn are going to likely have to take pay cuts anywhere they go and thus not easily shifted.
  3. Frustrating result but nothing wrong with that performance in the circumstances. One daft mistake from someone that's only on the bench because there's so many injuries nevermind playing has cost us a deserved and brave win. The team we had out is barely better than theirs and much more fatigued and disjointed and unable to replenish. We drew, deserved to win, with eleven players plus one out, no idea what more we could do outside of some serious hindsight.
  4. Having a pop at people for defending Howe is tragic. He's probably averaging 6th-7th place in his time here which includes half a season with a Bruce/Ashley team plus some ringers and a full season with a monstrous injury/suspension crisis whilst being financially held back and all with squad limits.
  5. With twelve players out? Sorry, no we couldn't. Were not Man City or Liverpool.
  6. Feels a bit like a loss, but its not really with the amount of players we have out, with what we have to field (Longstaff, Dummett, Krafth, Murphy and now Dubravka is shot to bits were and would be lucky to be at Ashley's NUFC)
  7. Everton who we've lost 3 of the last 11 to are our bogey team?
  8. Feel like its being set up for them to steal one
  9. Very decent half in the circumstances. 2-0 would have been a fairer reflection and that its not is the only qualm.

Had a good innings by our standards. Few month of playing without a major injury.
  11. Leicester £74m loss for last season. Probably going to have to do a Sheffield United if they get promoted and/or get a points deduction. Quite probably not looking forward to getting promoted now. What a farce.
  12. Covering only the era where that horrible term has been used was a nice touch.
  13. Know its going to be brutal but weirdly been looking forward to it for ages today. Wish they weren't on this chronic run cos its got to end some time. Fills me with a nameless dread facing teams in such scenarios.

9th and 15th on home form over the past two seasons, and lost all three home cup ties. Nobody has lost more at home in that division. The toxic environment has to be a big reason why. The only time it got like that for us whilst skint under Ossie and playing the kids was that Charlton game whilst 2nd bottom of the division. We lost 6 home games, by one goal, three under Ossie, three under KK.
  15. Expect this is going to be unpleasant and not remotely a follow on from the end of the West Ham game. Don't think I associate any club with wretched football as much as these and would tend to think just scrape a 1-0 but its nonsensical to forsee us not conceding. Just going to jinx a possible theme now by mentioning the dodgy keeper stuff could be on the other foot on this occasion.

Kinda hoping no news is good news considering how quickly Lascelles and Botman's seriousness came through

They've been in the Premier League less than half the time since it existed which helps

That is surprising being as they must all have been in the last few years. 5-1 to Stoke a year ago and 5-4 to Coventry in the third tier.

Funny how the seagulls turn up early at that place for a forage. Usually, at SJP back in the day, you'd see them during post match interviews once the ground had cleared and the players had time to shower and dress. Like they know that place empties early every time.
  20. I liked it better when you got points deductions and kicked out of Europe for match fixing or crowd violence not for trying to compete with finance you have access to.
  21. Never been one for slagging players off. Would never do it during a game to any of them and am reticent even on here but Dubs has crossed the rubicon with so many suspect games and so much suspect keeping alligned with so much data to back it up that I just cant see it any other way than he's naff and just expect more of the same until we part ways. Though unlike Beasant, Dillon, Tomasson who I felt the same about - at least he'd provided some good prior.
