Even back in the day it was likewise at Hull and Wolves, liked the look not the luck *and Watford

Reckon the decisive dodgy decision in Liverpool's favour will be 10' either side of half-time today.

Isn't everybody just in the cautiously optimistic camp and the most bed wetting is about people stating that its not certain, because what is?

deserved that for their hubris

The only big clubs Allardyce ever managed the fan-bases couldn't stand him, his atrocious football and the job he did was underwhelming besides that. Could easily make the step from doing that at West Ham, Everton and Newcastle to managing Man City, Bayern and Barcelona though.

He did as bad in his last job at West Brom as Pardew and Bruce. With the same players and not of Keegan's choosing after years completely out of football Keegan produced infinitely better football and got better results. Pep couldn't do better though.

Full circle back to where both of our current situations eminated from in this fixture a year ago. Our confidence and style was forged and they got the kick up the arse attitude adjustment from the manner of the beating. Could be second now if we'd just won a tight game 1-0.

Don't usually like these things. Was with both Newcastle and Sunderland in my younger days so experienced behind the scenes at a low level, busmans holiday type thing. Took my trainers off for some reason and nipped inside the building, came out and saw Bob Murray walking past them with an unimpressed look which could have been a nice little scenelet. Said 'Hi' though to his credit. But really looking forward to this. I could marvel at the new professionalism alone.

Will claw some money back on away shirts they otherwise would never need

That game in 1994, after what Le-Tissier did in the away game, was nervous everytime he was anywhere near the ball. Didn't matter how we played, what was to stop him megging a couple players and wellying it in from 30yards. Could tell the players felt the same way leading up to the free-kick winner. A win would be like the week of Leeds away, Arsenal away then Boro at home wins over Christmas under Sir Bobby, we've got a bank holiday instead...plus the weather is just the same

Its pointing out how unpleasant people can be. And I don't care for the cheap attempt at the end to tar people you disagree with as being find with the deaths of vulnerable people. Its that sort of inference that has caused this whole mess - slag people off, have a difference of opinion but implying that their nazi's or don't care about people dying is going too far. Out of order imho, for doing nothing but pointing out calling someone who isn't hard right and being called a 'bitch' isn't tolerant. Lets not talk again and just get back to football.

Leicester seem the most bereft of all the teams down there. In 6 pointers, given Southampton have just beaten them, I'd take all of the others down there over them.
-
Well I feel a real shot in the arm off that. Hopefully it translates to the team.

MOTD is going to have to have someone from each side of politics on going forward I fancy. Probably should have been like that anyway. Maybe it never was, maybe it always was (pre Lineker anyway) the beauty is we never knew and the normal folk amongst us didn't care. Happy days.

There was many times at SJP where different areas would be singing different songs at the same time or better yet, the same song but slightly out of sync with each other. When your stand finished or reached a pause it was like a couple echoes from the other stands. They were the best atmos. Had a season ticket in the East Stand from 1991 - pre Keegan, pre Premier League, in our worst ever year, being one of those that jacked in at the first sign of trouble.

Good spot. I'm just going to put the Boo Kampf into circulation

Think this weekend could decide it. Boro are the only ones in form enough to challenge. Sheffield United play Luton, could go either way. Boro at Swansea. If the gap gets bigger its over.
-
Yeah. Did it to themselves again. Midtable team getting midtable results and that's okay for them, but they can't just leave it at that when a few of those results go in their favour they go ridiculous (hunting down the automatics, best team in the north-east, derby's next season) and consequently when a few results dont, its missiles, bew, toxicity and the demanding of answers from the exact same people.
-
I gather so. As its the friendly cup they'd get off lightly with a light coining should they celebrate scoring a goal....errrr i mean should they 'goad' the Sunderland fans.
-
Norwich next. Hanley wouldn't....would he?
-
Were not finishing top 4. People should have just enjoyed it for what it was. A flirtation that was too soon that was unlikely to last. Was like going top under Sir Bobby.
-
Shambolic performance and attitude. Wasnt like this when we thrashed them. This is like Eriksson's Man City getting beat 8-0 at Boro levels of on downing tools

More Pennywise than Streetwise. Nefarious clowns all over the place that belong in the sewer.
