  1. Abebayo and morris are definitely forwards, don't think either are wing forwards. Doughty seemed to be playing more as a left winger than wingback but definitely not as advanced as the other 2. Don't know the lad who give burn a 'challenging' afternoon
  2. Are Luton one of the only teams to play two up top? Would seem suicidal on paper but they still managed to flood the centre of the pitch. I wonder how long 4-3-3 will be the preferred formation for most teams
  3. I was guessing 3-1 when shearer was Gaffa but then I remember a 2-0 in the championship with a text book shola header . What year is it again?
  4. We didn't expect to beat villa, so really we need to sit back and say I want no nasty soggy chips, I want mine crisp
  5. That would at least be a little excitement in their drab existence....no, wait, they finished 7th once by hoofing it up to a horse. The pinnacle of any football clubs achievement
  6. I'm still annoyed about the Leon best disallowed goal (Despite the 2 dodgy pens we got and the van persie one chalked off)
  7. Add willock and it puts pornhub out of business
  8. Tits!!!! I don't like it anymore
  9. Even the Dan burn thing gets out of hand. Botman isn't the quickest and it's shown at times but people let it go far more easily. I'm not saying we should get on botmans back either, but (without resorting to stats) it seems burn makes as many interceptions. Plus he hasn't got the same level of cover that he gets with joelinton in front of him.
  10. I always feared that manure could have sung this but hearing that makes me feel far more comfortable with it
  11. I think it's ok to criticise, I don't think you should blindly go along with a unrealistic positive attitude when clearly it's shit and a piss take. (like licking mike Ashley's arse) But if you are to do that you must also point out the positives so we don't just turn up with expectation. For example against Luton there were still massive positives, whilst it's ok to say the midfield is lightweight with both Miley and longstaff then you must point out that longstaff is far more likely to get goals than Bruno, and also mileys contribution for the first goal and the way he actually won the ball back for Barnes goal. Yes, we should be beating them, but we aren't perfect by a long way and the fightback was commendable. This is maybe controversial, but if your going to boo, really you should fuck off and let other fans get in the ground who will sing their hearts out and appreciate a team that tries and not one that wins
  12. Don't get me wrong, I'll join in any song, but it does seem to be the repetitive choice. Also I've noticed that 'we love you new-sel' is now sung 'we love you new-castle' especially in parts of the ground away from strawberry corner.
  13. Why is 'who's that team we call united so popular?' Admittedly I had a sabbatical during the Ashley era, but I never heard it before before then.
  14. Could possibly be the only player to score a free kick with his weaker foot (for spurs) Saw lee Clark take a corner once with his left foot too
  15. Imagine when he gets injured in the first 5 mins.
  16. Didn't Didn't Didn't Actually they might have
  17. Didn't know that, I'd imagine they'll want to extend that asap.
  18. I wonder how much he's worth now? Luton must be laughing as no doubt someone will be interested and they'll be able to command a big fee for someone who could have prematurely retired
  19. Dunno if the point has been made, however despite the disappointment, I would have taken a draw at villa and a win against Luton That's 4 points and that's what we've got, so not a disaster when you look at it that way.
  20. Defo, it's the instinctive qualities that makes the difference
  21. Very true. Just hope willock is available for the FA cup, I think that's our season now
  22. No, I think your right. Certainly the first because he makes no decision which means the player just has to concentrate on getting the header on target. He does this a lot where he half comes out and then runs back but he's in a position where he can't even attempt to save the ball, mike hooper was often guilty of this. David James did some awful shit but at least he made his mind up when he raced out, that at least makes a forward have to do some work

    Dan Burn

Quite safe to say that Luton targeted him and it worked
