  1. I wanted him to get this year but totally agree with the mid year sacking point. If the club had any doubts then the time to change was this summer.
  2. Can’t argue with any of that, to be honest I think he would walk if it looked like we were finishing 12th and out of the cups.
  3. I could be / probably am wrong but as they admitted it haven’t Chelsea already been punished with a fine?
  4. Obviously I’m aware we live in a post Abramovich world. My gripe with PSR is not that it exists but it is designed to stop anyone closing the gap, I’ve said this for years and certainly before our takeover and things have got worse since. Chelsea have recently admitted cheating and still reap the rewards for it and it does annoy me.
  5. It was arguable when I lived in London as a younger man but who cares really. Would agree on their current status.
  6. Would assume flavour of the month manager, potential spend and media bias play a large part. Personally I don’t think they’ll make the jump but do they think they’ll be aiming there, as we should be too. Depending on how the season goes I’m not sure failure to make top 6 should lead to automatic sacking but others may do and I can understand the thinking.
  7. How was that success and world status obtained? Pre Roman they were dwarfed by Arsenal, Spurs and arguably smaller than West Ham. Always had a fashionable postcode which Bates used to begin the spend but he was skint and begging when Roman turned up.
  8. Each to their own but not for me. Had little to no confidence in him 3 years ago.

He didn’t lose his England spot because of that. If he’s pushing to leave over being hooked in game he struggled in then benched for a game then that is rank behaviour
  10. Yep, I totally get that and can't argue against it. There a lot of posts that simply just bang the possession drum and we often do have the lions share... Virtually the whole league cedes possession when they are winning as born out by the stats on the final day of the season but if you are doing that and getting your pocket picked time after time then it becomes a massive problem as you rightly point out.
  11. I would argue the reverse is equally as strong in the quorum who want to change the manager... I struggle to argue against much else and maybe I am naively hoping for improvements but especially towards the end of the season I do think the whole squad were in a bit of funk and in need of a rest. If they had changed I wouldn't have been as surprised or as disappointed as I would have imagined and I am as Howe in as anybody. I do think the possession stuff gets over played on here - we lost a lot of games where we hade more possession than the opposition, as it always has been effective use of the ball is far more important than simply keeping a hold of it. The last day of the season the only team who won and had more possession than the opposition was Arsenal.
  12. Thanks, that’s what I thought but saw a couple of posts that doubted it but seemed wrong.
  13. From that is it safe to assume £13m into 27-28 SCR and then £12m the following year?
  14. Every day’s a school day! Silly assumption that if they had ties with anyone it would BMW but Ingolstadt is a Bavarian city as well.
  15. Fair enough, just assumed Bavaria would be all BMW
  16. Won’t get any thanks showcasing Audi in Munich
  17. Arsenal in a late kickoff is a cure for insomnia
  18. Now compare the team / position Howe took over with the one Dalglish did.
  19. They sold Coutinho after all 🤪
  20. We certainly were... King Rat never tried a leg, Murphy was the worst version of Murphy and even Bruno had a game where everything he touched went wrong! We reverted to old Newcastle that always folded in the big occasion which surprised after the cup winning performance

Personally I wouldn't have him in but understand from a leadership point of view... Harry M though is just a massive twat see his and family's reaction on the socials. Plus the higher stakes the game the more likely he is to drop a massive rick, in my opinion at least.

I thought he would take both but O’Reilly was always going to be the starter. He’s influenced some big games and certainly has the press on side. Very surprised Hall isn’t in the squad though
