  1. That he is ? there has been a few posts slagging off the NE press not breaking these stories but I’m going to have to back off. To continue my argument I’d have to be supportive of the other hairier melts like Ryder.
  2. Lots of slagging off of the local journalists but doesn’t that basically mean that we’re keeping things quiet and the leaks are at the other end? That’s a good thing right? edit: not saying Luke Edwards is not a cunt. edit 2: been drinking in the sun. I think by double negative is correct.
  3. I like the approach of doing the east stand first. I see it being something along the lines of if we get approval for this we get 61k, a stadium that can have an entire bowl look, potential to extend the gallowgate to add another 10k. If we can’t get approval then that will be decision time. Whether they accept only ever being able to extend the gallowgate at huge cost, or we move stadium. Moving would then be an easier sell to fans as they have tried everything to stay. They will be maybe in a better position. With the council to get approval for a site in the city “look we are trying everything we can to keep the match day income in the city, if you keep blocking things we have no choice”. Ultimately we all want a bigger stadium in the city, ideally St James extended to 70k plus. This feels like the best way to achieve that.
  4. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your messages this morning. You write with such passion. I could almost see your arms moving, I was actually wondering how you were typing. My best guess was one handed.

  6. Joelinton looked completely at home. Slow start but grew into the game. He scored the goal, won the ball back a couple times, some really nice footwork a couple times and some nice passes. Pretty much a perfect debut. Bruno sometimes looks like he tries too hard for Brazil. Today he looked a bit better. I think the game was a bit more fragmented by the time he was playing due to the subs. He still was good getting the ball from defenders and setup the penalty.
  7. It was mentioned earlier in the thread. It is "only" 7k per ticket but minimum of 2 which gets you to the 14k..
  8. I thought the offside was from earlier in the play.
  9. Eddie Howe would turn him into a pop sensation.
  10. Edwards is the type that would do things like this as "social experiments" to show that journalists are abused or praised depending on whether the news is good or bad.
  11. My first reaction on this was whether they failed to pay him deliberately in order to remain within FFP. By making him go to court it could defer the payment by a couple years.
  12. He missed an absolute sitter for us with that Watford lad.
  13. I've never noticed before them being so specific that they are the front of shirt partnership/sponsor. It probably just because we now have sleeve as well. Maybe they also have no rights to training gear etc Fun88 where on lots of stuff - https://castore.com/search?type=product&q=newcastle
  14. Sounds like a auf wiedersehen pet reboot
  15. It would take 20k if you have to take the family?
  16. The name doesn’t help. It sounds like a competition that the top leagues would not be part of.
  17. Another point is hopefully is would be is it an initial 65K. At SJP is sounds like it would be very difficult to get to 60K so further expansion would be near impossible. Hopefully if we did move to a 65K stadium it would be designed such that expansion could be iterative. (Note - I personally don't see us moving, although would love moving if the location was the park)
  18. Yeah I thought the same thing. Hopefully she got a nice cut. I’ve still not idea how she’ll be able to keep her current share of the club if the club does do the large investments they’ve been talking about (training ground, St James)
  19. I've never enjoyed a box for atmosphere. I've been to a Wembley a few times and a couple others. The food has been average and the atmosphere crap. Easy access to beer is the only pro. Corporate seats where there is a bar/resturant behind the stand are a bit better (the barracks, park grill). At least the atmosphere is a bit better. It's still nothing like being in the gallowgate though.
  20. My guess: - today is noon - tomorrow is Sela - Friday is Shirt
  21. food banks were a bad choice and brought the discussion into politics, which I like to avoid! But you’re right. How the money would be spent is one thing the point I was trying to make is without ffp there would be substantially more money going into the economy.
  22. lol. You think premiership footballers pay next to nothing in tax ? edit - apologies as your post really amused me so I didn’t explain. The super wealthy and corporations can absolutely minimise taxes. When you have money it becomes easier. For anyone earning money it becomes much more difficult. Footballers have tried many things from offshoring payments, getting image rights though companies (to name a couple). The HMRC have done a pretty good job at getting their salaries through PAYE so they will absolutely be paying a lot of tax.
