  1. Even if you take the sky six out and say that we can’t compete with them due to finance, which doesn’t take in to account that they have bad seasons… We have a higher revenue than Villa as of the last set of accounts, the 7th highest in the league, so why is 7th an overachievement? Not even taking in to account all of the extra games Villa have in Europe this year.
  2. Willock will give us balance, I am not sure putting Tonali there and bringing Longstaff in on the other side will do that.
  3. If that is the point then argue the point, don’t make up points and try and proceed to argue the made up points.
  4. It is the opinion that doing better than teams with a higher wage bill is overachieving, whilst not doing well against a team with a lower wage bill is underachieving.
  5. Someone show him our wage bill compared to the other semi finalists, he will change his mind when he sees that.
  6. You argued against a point that nobody made, when this was pointed out you argued that someone might as well have said that with a comment that didn’t actually mean what you claimed at all, then got called out for it. The comment that if there is money available and they don’t give it to Howe to spend in January signals they have likely made up their mind about changing him as manager, is not the same as saying that he won’t be backed in January.
  7. He should have gone in the summer when we had an offer for him.
  8. So nobody has said he won’t be backed then.
  9. So not unrealistic to expect European football as a minimum then.
  10. Has anyone said he won’t be backed?
  11. There are clubs that I wouldn’t expect us to rival in terms of performances like Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea but there is no reason why we shouldn’t be competing with Spurs, Man Utd and Villa. The whole argument that someone has a more valuable squad or pay higher wages automatically means that our level is 8th is ridiculous, as teams that pay higher wages under achieve, or have European games that stretch their squad so they can’t compete to the level they want every week. Does it mean that if any team that pays less wages than us finishes above us this season we have underachieved? What about if we finish 8th but Forest finish 7th and Man Utd 9th? Is that an underachievement? Should we even be celebrating beating Brentford last night as we pay far more wages than them? It is nonsense.
  12. You really can overpay players in wages.
  13. The question mark over Dibling will be his attitude, hopefully he has matured but the move might be too soon for him.
  14. We wouldn’t, the point being what you pay in wages doesn’t automatically transfer in to how good your squad is, when you could easily overpay on wages.
  15. I am amazed that anyone who thinks that Man City should look to sign Harvey Barnes could have the audacity to call anyone a divvy to be honest.
  16. So if we gave all of our players a £50k a week pay rise then it wouldn’t be overachieving?
  17. If they don’t back him in January and we are not at our PSR limit then I would say they have already made the decision on his future.
  18. They could do a lot better than Harvey Barnes too.
  19. It is as simple as that. If he fails to get us in to Europe for the second season running then I don’t see how the club would see him as still being suitable for the job, other than being a nice guy.
  20. The situation hasn’t changed, he needs European football next season or he will be rightfully sacked. 7 points from the next 3 games will put us on 30 points at the half way point of the season, although all 3 games are winnable. That will line us up for a similar points tally as last season, just without the Champions League fatigue and the injuries.
  21. Should be a comfortable away win. Ipswich try hard but only have a few Premier League standard players, with the best one of them being out.
  22. Walker-Peters is out of contract in the summer. Would be an obvious replacement for Trippier.
  23. If West Ham had scored from the deflected cross that hit Adams, would VAR have ruled it out for a penalty to be taken?
  24. That game was played at a crazy tempo.
  25. What a great free kick. Excellent game to watch.
