I would loan him out in January, even if it meant that we had to loan a striker in for the rest of the season as cover. Bristol City would be the ideal move for him, as they play good football but they don’t have anyone up top to pick out of any real quality, so it would be a good opportunity for him to get some goals and build confidence. If he can’t do it there in the Championship then his chances of ever making it here are slim.

They also played Everton away, the general point still stands when you compare the standard of their home and away opposition.
-
Brentford have only beaten Colchester away from home this season, and they are in League Two. They have had a difficult run of games away, the complete opposite to the standard of teams they have played at home.
-
I can’t believe how little fight Leicester had, they usually put up a fight in the early days of a manager coming in but they had nothing. There was a situation in the second half where Gordon knocked Mavididi out of the way so the ball went out for a throwing and he just let him do it. Zero interest. They had a similar feel to Sheffield United last season.
-
Probably trying to build his comments after those he made 2 weeks ago, when he said he played Gordon up too as he had no natural striker.
-
I don’t see the similarities between Elanga and Almiron, if anything Elanga shares similarities to Gordon when he first came here. He has potential but won’t be worth the price that Forest want.

Solanke has been panned as poor business? By who?
-
You would presume that his settlement agreement contained all of the same restricted covenants that were in his contract, so he is unlikely to jump anywhere in this country quickly. Unless Man Utd were just glad to be shot of him.

Yeah, it was about being a club that showed ambition, rather than doing the bare minimum to try and stay in the league. It isn’t anything to do with the effort put in by the players on the pitch, or expecting the team to win every week, which is why it is strange when people use it to defend Howe, when people are unhappy with the performances and league position.

Good job we signed Osula.

77.7% No, there is no other club that has bought as many British based players than us. Even when we go shopping in the championship where other clubs are picking up promising youngsters we come away with John Ruddy.
-
About 75% of our transfers have come from the Premier League, more than any other club I can think of since the takeover.
-
The vision we sold him clearly hasn’t materialised, unless he was told that he would be back up to Sean Longstaff in a bottom half Premier League team. He has been our best midfielder this season, so I can understand his frustration, but he needs to remember that things will likely change at the club soon.
-
He doesn’t say that we only shop in the Premier League to be fair, but nice straw man all the same.
-
I think they said at the time that the last time a club finished 7th and didn’t qualify for European football was when Wigan and Swansea won the cup competitions a decade ago. If Howe can’t achieve European football this season then he will be gone, if he lasts that long.
-
We will win this one comfortably.

Because people don’t want to hold Howe responsible for our poor season so far.

1-0 Ipswich.

I want Iraola because Bournemouth play exciting football and are a great team to watch, along with him improving all of the players there. Howe’s position was completely different, having left Bournemouth after they were relegated.
-
Mitchell should be having discussions with Iraola about coming here from Bournemouth. If he can get them playing the sort of football they do with a Ryan Christie and Lewis Cook partnership in midfield then surely he can better that with Bruno and Tonali.
-
It is easy to say it because the players are not good enough, but who from Brentford would get in to our best eleven? Or from Bournemouth, Fulham or Forest? You would be lucky to have 2 or 3 from each team getting in to our best eleven, yet they are going out and playing decent football because their managers have them motivated and sending them out with a game plan.
-
Bournemouth are so enjoyable to watch.

Yesterdays performance was great, as was the home performance against Arsenal a month ago, and the home game against Man City just over a month before that. What that demonstrates is that we are raising our performances for the big games, yet the games in between like Palace, West Ham and Fulham we have been terrible and look unmotivated. Hopefully this is us turning the corner, and the December fixtures don’t look too bad with 2 promoted sides at home, but it does feel like we have been in a similar position a number of times this season and failed to build on it.
