  1. I think the problem for them has been defensively. They don't win the ball back as easily, and they aren't solid. As a result their attacking play has also been hurt. Everton will let them have the ball and play the game that they used to be so good at.
  2. Agree, I thought the same. They can just play a very offensive side without having to worry too much, with players who can open up a tight defence. Would be shocked if they drop points again.
  3. Will be interesting to see whether Kovacic back can fix Man Citys midfield "crisis".

Would've atleast played a whole bunch last season. And would probably have been solid enough to stay as a decent rotation player aswell.

I suggested to compare the last 2,5 seasons specifically, meaning since both players arrived in the league. Isak has missed 38 games, Haaland has missed 20. Isak has missed nearly twice as many games. If you look at Willock and Wilson, they weren't much injured at all at the start of their carreer. They became injury prone at some point. We don't know for sure whether it's the norm for him just yet, but it's not uncommon for the problems to start later on. His injury history before joining us doesn't necessarily mean that much. When it comes to Haaland I think it's pretty clear that Man City has better routines in terms of preventing injuries than what he had at Dortmund. Whether that be training or something else. I've allways maintained that there are many things you can do to minimize chances of an injury crisis happening, it's not just luck or bad luck. Man City has their problems this season, but it's unusual for them.

Haaland was considered to be injury prone at Dortmund. It has gotten much better in the last years at Man City. Isak wasn't considered injury prone before he went to us. Compare games lost in the last couple of seasons plus the current one, Isak will be worse off in that.

He has a 1 goal per game ratio for Norway. Was the top scorer in the UCL for Dortmund. He gets more space to use his pace etc, so he just scores in different ways. Obviously scoring goals is his thing, not so much the rest.
  8. It makes sense that he has to make a lot of tackles when he plays for you guys. He's also top 1% for "attempted tackles"?
  9. @Froggy is probably the best jinxer I have ever seen, so judging by the comments here Ugarte will turn out to be another flop sitting on the bench.
  10. You guys should stop appointing managers at all. Just let the players figure it out in between them. You guys paying wages to managers is a waste of money. I'm sure Ratcliffe agrees, he loves cutting costs.
  11. If Saka is out, I don't even have a way to reinvest the money from selling. I'll have a bunch of money floating around without having a good way to spend it. Usually you have money saved for an expensive transfer, but there are none that makes sense.
  12. So mid table teams are our nemesis? I hope Man Utd will climb out of mid table before we meet them, then.

We sold him 11 years ago, not 5. I know, time flies.
  14. So I bring in Son some weeks ago as Ange said he was fine in the midweek. He turned out to be injured that weekend. I keep him in instead of Saka for a while, but he keeps stinking it up for me. I decide to wait 1 extra round with doing the transfer, to avoid a hit. Saka gets 18 and Son 2. I do the transfer, and since then Saka has given me 9 points in 4 and gotten injured. Son has played 3 with one more coming tomorrow, earning 22 points in those 3. Love this game.

I mean he's not bad to keep around as a backup anyways, unless someone make an offer that we can't refuse. He makes a decent backup for us. Almiron needs to go, and then we need someone who can be first choice ahead of Murphy.

Exactly. Was really odd to read some of the comments earlier in the season, it was a great example of short term memory. It's normal for any striker to have some bad spells.

I honestly have had the same thought. At the very least I think he's our best player since Shearer.

It's funny, because like 1-2 months ago we were here discussing whether he can fit into our system at all. Lets not have that discussion again, unless the system completely changes.
