9 points in 11 games at home.
-
Man City has scored 2 goals in their last 4 league games..
-
Imagine if we had Mbeumo..
-
We'll see about that after the next World Cup..
-
I think he would be a great "false" 9 if our wingers were kind of narrow. For instance, the Mane - Firmino - Salah combo. In this system Firmino worked perfectly. The problem is that we are playing with wide wingers, so the linkup won't often be these cute passes that Wolte likes to play.

Remember when we had an injury crisis with a bench full of unknown teenagers, and we still didn't sign anyone in january? I really doubt that we will sign someone.
-
Honestly some of the posts who complain about people not enjoying the victory are usually the ones that seem the most aggressive and anger fuelled. Is a critical forum post enough to ruin the joy of a win completely?
-
Yeah, but that's not the point. Saying that we got £35m for Anderson is like harshly criticizing the club for paying £20m for Vlach, and ignoring that they were linked.
-
£15m. We didn't pay £20m for Vlach because we thought that he was great. Edit: already pointed out.
-
Quite a few here mentions everyone except Kinnear.
-
John Carver. Atleast according to himself.
-
We tend to skip the january window, even when we have injury problems. I'm not expecting anything from this window.

It's insane how CB is the position that we're currently struggling with. It was the position that needed additional depth the least out of all positions. We have 6 senior CBs. No idea how both Kraft and Lascelles got injured right before we miraculously needed them. They've barely played..
-
Yeah, which is part of my point. Ofcourse he had more than enough chances through such a large period of time. Even wingers from teams at the bottom will have quite a few.
-
Also lack of chances and bad luck isn't a great argument for barely scoring a goal from open play for an entire calendar year. Especially not when you're a winger for a top half team.
-
This makes a lot of sense to me. They signed him to keep the physios busy, and it clearly hasn't worked out for them.
-
It feels like Barnes is wasted on the right, though.. I'm sure he would also prefer to play on the left.
-
Peak Shelvey was the time he brought a lass home with one other Newcastle player, and he was putting on Shelvey highlights on youtube for them to watch.
-
I also think that the threat of injury and fatigue is another thing Howe thinks about when it comes to starting both available strikers. We won't have a striker to come off the bench later in the game, either. Would love to see it tried in atleast a few games, though..
-
Thanks. I'll share it with all the ones who points out they were right about something that you agreed with.
-
I agree. Just look at how many "I told you so" posts that are in the Howe thread right now. Instead of enjoying the win.
-
They were bad, and we have some easier fixtures atm, but some wins can give us a lot of confidence and momentum going into the games thereafter.
-
I generally think it's a bit childish when fair criticism (that he wasn't getting himself into the right position at times) is met with the classic "how dare you criticise him, he scored goals" stuff. But if the purpose of the forum is to cheerlead every player and not discuss both negatives and positive, then my bad. I'm happy Wissa is back, and the impact it has on us is clear to see.
-
Sure. Maybe not the best post to reply that to then. Point still stands. I also think it was a fairly easy guess that we've been missing someone like Wissa when he was out. We already knew that he was stronger, faster and more direct from his time at Brentford. It fits our current 4-3-3 setup better.
