Bit off topic, but here we go. As much as I wanted Tonali in for Longstaff, I wonder why he didn't get a start lately? I know Longstaff is limited, but Miley and Willock hasn't been doing that much at all, and we even changed formation. I guess it's purely from a tactical perspective as Tonali has his role?

I agree, but really it all depends on the price. At a certain price most people here would sell. At a low price just about anyone here would keep him. I think I wouldn't sell below £75m personally. At £75m+ it starts becoming difficult imo, as everyone has a price. It's just that making so many changes in one window is kind of risky. Gordon knows the system and his teammates. We already need to bed in some signings in other positions. I don't think we will get £75m+ anyways.

I was looking for "distance covered", but apparently it isn't available on the free stat sites?
-
Hopefully they will read the forum (or not if they somehow were going to pay big money).

I mean people talk about Fulhams motivation for the last game etc. Just pointing out that it doesn't matter for us in terms of top 5 anyways if Man City win today. We bring up small details every day all year on this forum. In most threads. I kind of get your point, but I'm not sure why you react to this specifically when it happens all the time. In a forum people will talk about everything.

We would need to win vs Everton to have any chance of going above City if they win today. If we beat Everton we get top 5 regardless. If they win today, their result vs Fulham will never affect whether or not we get top 5. That's all. Edit: someone already answered.
-
So if Man City win today, their result vs Fulham doesn't matter to us from a top 5 perspective. It would only matter in terms of getting 3rd vs 4th (or 4th vs 5th should Chelsea somehow absolutely batter Forest).

Some random stat from march. Although I'd assume it's what he does between the sprints that might annoy people. "A sprint is defined as a player running over 25 km/h because there needs to be an objective measure of what constitutes a sprint. In other words, this is a category that favours players who can get up to speeds over 25 km/h with any regularity."

Salah still 1 g/a away from Shearer and Coles 48 g/a in a season. He has been really close for a while now.
-
Didn't we offer him to Liverpool right before the deadline? Probably not confirmed, but.. if that was the case, it probably wasn't so encouraging knowing that we tried to sell him. My point is, lets not speculate that he was pushing for a move to Liverpool. Even if that ordeal had an impact, it could be the other way around by him not being happy about being the one we felt we could sacrifice. Ofcourse it would still be unfprofessional to have a bad attitude for nearly the whole season as a result. Bottom line is we simply don't know the full story.
-
I agree, you don't want to make too many changes in one window. It's easier to swap out your players in windows where you don't have to make a bunch of other moves silmutaneously. This is why Chelsea struggled after their first few windows under their new owner, although ofcourse they were quite extreme.

In a situation where you want to sell he is worth what other clubs wants to pay. If he is worth 60m+ to us then we probably won't sell, because I'm not seeing what team would pay big money for him right now. There are a lot of wingers out there.
-
Who would even be in for Gordon this summer, after the season he has had? Not sure Chelsea need him. I think the likes of us and Villa are the best teams who would start him quite often. Most of the top teams seems to prefer different attributes in their wingers. Was honestly surprised about the Liverpool links last year, I wonder how much they really wanted him. I don't think they do now.
-
It isn't that uncommon for players to have a season like this only to be at their best the season after. I would at the very least give him another season. It's just annoying how he keeps being used and prioritized when he's completely out of it.
-
For next season CL qualification should be based on the top 4/5 in the xPts table. In fact points should be handed out based on the higher xG accumulated. More fair that way.
-
Also if Chelsea finish 6th and we finishing 7th, but this can only happen by us getting absolutely battered by Everton.
-
We'll create lots of chances, no doubt. We just need to put it into the back of the net. We have missed quite a few lately.
-
Yeah, I don't see any better team wanting him currently. Certainly not Liverpool.
-
Lots of players transform from one season to another, and then back again the season after. No point in selling really, can't see a big offer coming in from a top club now anyways.
-
Well.. he doesn't have a good history with playing against Everton at all..
-
I agree with most here. Massive attitude change from last season for the worse. That's the first thing he needs to sort out.
-
I don't think many teams are that different depending on the form of one player. I understand why that is, but that's besides the point.
-
Would've won with a fit Isak today. Kind of crazy how much better and more efficient we are when he hits form.
-
If you're going to put it all down to lack of support: how come many on here understood that the only possible explanation for his performances was that he was injured, and then he turned out to be injured? Was it just a wild guess and a coincidence?
-
I don't get how it's wild to suggest that Wilson has been better than Isak lately in this half.. He hasn't been great, but Isak has contributed with even less, especially in the second halves when he's gassed out. It has bascially been like playing with 10 men. As mediocre as Wilson has been, it's still not like playing with 10 men, because atleast he's strong. That's no dig at Isak, he has obviously been injured.
