Yeah, but look at it this way. They only need 13 points from the last 12 to match their score from last season, and they may very well end up gettin more than that. Some of the reason why they're 6 points behind right now comes down to the fact that they were flying high at this stage of the season last year (they were 6th). This ofcourse wouldn't mean that they're now a better team anyways.

They're definetly weaker at this point, but Bournemouth being just 6 points off their points tally from last season (after 26 games) is seriously impressive.

We've been calling for the refs to "just get better" since the start of football. It's as if Igor Tudor came in at Tottenham with the solution "the players simply just needs to play better", and that's it.

I get that people love to blame VAR for literally everything, but saying that VAR has made the refs incompetent assumes that these mistakes didn't happen before VAR. They happened quite often, and refs were seen as incompetent back then aswell. It's short term memory.

This could have worked if the wingers were playing narrower. Problem with that has been that we usually play with very wide wingers, whos job is to whip it into the box. That way we don't really see the linkup with Big Nick, that could result in our wingers scoring goals.

VAR doesn't do yellows. Even if it's 2 yellows for the same player.

I sometimes watch highlights from old games when I'm bored, and the type of mistakes from the first half show up in quite a few of them.

If you go back to 2018 in this thread, people were constanly raging at mistakes like these, and calling for VAR to come in as soon as possible. I think it's just as much about the fact that we've forgot how often they screwed up obvious decisions when we didn't have VAR to correct them.

I'm convinced Digne would have been sent off with VAR. The rules are pretty clear in that situation.
