Completely agree with this. Dubravka hasn't technically put a foot wrong since coming in, but just by being a different keeper it has had a massive impact on everything else. Defence having to play deeper as he doesn't sweep, more one on ones with the keeper, bigger gap between the defence and midfield etc. All this makes it harder to press as a unit. A new goalkeeper is a must for me and if we could get Tosin and Kelly in, I would be happy to spend biggish to get our goalkeeper that we want for the next 10 years. Big spend on RW and GK, two free transfers in defence and then see what is left.

You are not getting my point. Joelinton has just signed a new contract at probably around £120k a week. If he knows that someone like Kamara has come straight into the club at £150k a week, it is likely that he wouldn't accept less than that so we end up over paying wages for him. It is believed that Bruno is our top earner at £150k a week, again he potentially won't be happy if someone not as good as him just strolls straight in at the same salary. Tonali is apparently on £120k a week. Tosin and Kelly are different they aren't going to be on £150k a week and therefore becoming the highest earners. The one thing that I think the new owners are doing right is not allowing the wage bill to run out of control, getting good players like Kamara in at £150k per week is potentially letting it go out of control because it has a knock on effect.

It isn't the fact we can't afford £150k a week. It is the fact that if you give Kamara or someone similar £150k a week then the likes of Bruno, Isak, Joelinton, Botman etc. would then all be wanting more than £150k a week as they are the established stars of the team. You can't just go around throwing wages at players that would make them the top earners without potentially upsetting others.

If we beat Brighton and Man Utd fail to win either of their next two, we can finish above Man Utd by not losing at Old Trafford. Huge games tonight, if Palace play like they did at home to us I can see them comfortably beating them

I think Man Utd will finish 8th this season, could still become nervy for the FA cup final in terms of European qualification.

Only lost one in 8 games and drew at old Trafford last week. We are making them look poorer than their recent form suggests

If Howe can get him up the scratch defensively then we have a hell of a player on our hands. Not saying he is poor defensively but there is obviously some work to do to and once that work is done we have a gem!

I think Chelsea will finish in the top 7, but not sure if they catch us or Man Utd. Could well all boil down to our game at Old Trafford.

Feel like this is a pretty big game now after Chelsea's result last night. You would imagine they will beat West Ham at home so if we were to lose here we would be below them. If we can win, hopefully Palace continue their current form and beat Man Utd at home and we can potentially go 6th.

I will be delighted if we sign Tosin. I expected one of the big boys to get him by offering more wages than us, but I think it is a great signing to compete with Schar for RCB next season and then next summer we can sign someone elite to replace Shar. If we don't have much to spend I would rather spend that money on other positions if we can get a player of Tosin's quality for nothing.
