Quite interesting hearing their take on PSR considering we as fans have always hoped that our owners would push more boundaries to spend more whether that's with increased sponsorship, deals with Saudi clubs or other means, and the assumption was always that PSR would be viewed as restrictive and a negative at the top end of the club If this view is shared by the remaining owners then it make sense why they haven't pushed the boundaries more.

Garner would be decent in terms of extra cover at full back as well. The sort of squad filler you need if the price is right. Much rather Garner at LB than Burn that's for sure.

Keeping Burn on to defend set pieces really frustrated me. By having better players in a better system giving us more control would result in less set pieces to defend, the way we were set up was putting us under so much pressure. However, it is a balancing act and of course set pieces have to be kept in mind, so I was happy enough to see him start but as soon as he got booked he should have gone off and at a bare minimum should have gone off when he got away with the first penalty decision. I have personally doubted Howe once before (this time last year), so I am praying he can turn it around again. He gets this whole season for me because he has earned that. Next few fixtures in the league are a worry, winnable ones but also very losable.

Hard to be positive after today but I would give Thiaw a 9 or a 10. He’s barely put a foot wrong. Would knock Elanga down to a 2 or 3.

I would say they’re the main problem. We pass it round the back and then they press Burn and he hoofs it long and we lose it or he tries a pass or a touch and he loses it and then we lose possession. He has to stop playing Burn (at LB), Pope and Joelinton regularly to let us start playing. Yes we have been unlucky with injuries at full back but we should have more young cover.

Are we allowed to criticise Eddie today or not? We look horrific, some of the signings are very questionable and the decision to not rotate and to continuously play certain players is fucking us over. Will give him every chance to turn this round but it’s seriously not good enough. We have spent a fortune and are two points above the drop
