I don’t even know if we were wanting to press from the front today. Can barely remember Palace having the ball at the back to see if we would press high!
-
Also, I would have loved us to sign Wharton, looks a hell of a player and could have finally given us another option at 6 as well as being able to play an 8 as well
-
Not great but still in the game. Tino on at right back. Don’t care who for, but we need some quality in that position against Eze
-
Same team but re-jig the defence for me. Krafth-Schar-Burn-Tino I would worry about Mateta physically against Krafth and Burn has looked so much better at centre back and I think we need to keep that momentum going.

If we can find a win here and beat Sheffield United at the weekend we will be in a great position. Chelsea and West Ham could easily lose their next game so we could find ourselves 9 and 8 points ahead respectively with just four games to go.

Winners of the Europa League qualify for group stage as a pot one I believe. Unless it has changed with the new format

Does anyone know why there is an issue with the council and why they won't grant the 10 year lease on the stadium?
-
I kind of understand why 3pm games aren't on TV but when a game is moved to a midweek for whatever reason then it should be made available to watch on TV. Even if they charged a small PPV fee I would personally pay it.

I completely agree, should be a lot more than double. Was more just to show that I can't see him going there permanently due to the lack of money in the dutch game. I think it would be a big mistake flipping him for a 'small' profit now and that we should take a chance on him personally. Go down the Brighton route instead of the Man City route on this one.
-
Their record signing of all time is €8.3m, surely we aren’t selling him to them. We bought him for £8m, we would want at least double that.
-
7th to be Europe. 6th is guaranteed Europe due to Liverpool winning the Carabao Cup. Will then move to 7th if Man City win the FA cup or if one of the others win and finish in the top 6
-
Biggest boost for me (with the games not coming as regularly) is having the option of throwing him on up top alongside Isak if we need a goal like they did against Fulham last season. Would be nice to actually be able to change things up if required. Also if he can stay fit and grab a goal or two we may have an easier job getting a decent fee for him in the summer if we decide to sell.

I feel slightly sick every time Carragher says 'Mo Salah'
-
I am sure Eddie will have the players believing that they can close the gap and although we will probably fall short, if we aim for 4th/5th instead of looking over our shoulders then hopefully we can secure 6th or 7th and get back into Europe.

One of the worst decisions I’ve ever seen that
-
I will be annoyed if Burn moves back to left back, he has been poor there for most of the season and as soon as he has been moved to centre back he has put in a couple of fantastic performances and seems to be back to his old self. I would personally give Alex Murphy a game at left back so have at least one acceptable player on the bench that could make an impact (J. Murphy), but I can see it being Dummett unfortunately.

Part of me kind of wants to get into the Conference League over the Europa League. We would have a decent chance of winning it and will be good fun potentially playing some very random teams. It is probably only the fact that the Europa League is another potential route to the Champions League that makes me want that one instead.
-
It feels a bit of a no brainer to keep him around next season in my opinion as he seems to be so suited to the way that we play, especially if we were to get into Europe. If it comes to January and he isn't getting enough minutes he can always go out on loan for 6 months but he seems to have all the attributes to succeed in the Premiership. If he is to go out on loan then another stint at Feyenoord would be the sensible option.

Their pace, players dropping into the hole between defence and midfield and the amount of players they throw forward concerns me. Son, Maddison, Johnson, Werner are all players that are dangerous to us. I hope we sit back a bit more and hit them on the break. Similar to how we played at Villa Park, think we can get some joy if we do that. Draw won't be a bad result, but we can win this!
-
If we can keep them fit for the rest of the season then a front three of Barnes, Isak and Gordon will be fantastic. I always thought Gordon wouldn’t lose much playing right because most of his qualities can be done on either wing
-
What a brilliant second half performance. Credit to everyone in the second half, they turned around that horrendous first half and a clean sheet is very welcome! Shame Wolves goal was disallowed
-
Dubravka - playing ok other than coming for the ball. Krafth - shocking Schar - shocking Burn - solid enough Hall - naive defensively Longstaff - shocking Bruno - anonymous Willock - shocking Gordon - bright but keeps fucking up simple passes Isak - should have bagged Murphy - poor Anderson - added something At least we started to improve but seriously not good enough and lucky to not be behind
-
How bad is Krafth?
-
As bad a start to a game I’ve seen this season. All over the place, not tracking runners and can’t string more than two passes together
-
Really shit today but there is clearly a good squad player there and he should not be sold before the likes of Longstaff!
