  1. He’s also hit the post 13 times in the PL. A bit more luck and he’d have loads more goals.
  2. Looks like he’s been crying in that picture. Wonder why?
  3. If he’d been hired to work with Howe, Howe would have been involved in the hiring process. This sounds like a hostile takeover of sorts by Eales.
  4. On the one great season point, Mbeumo got 9 in 25 the year before but had a bad injury. He’s at 29 goals in 63 PL games in the last 2 seasons in a very average, mid table team. He’s also showing he can work really well with a main striker based on Wissa doing so well.
  5. If we were in the Europa/Conference we could have a year of young players like Dibling but we aren’t so we need Champions League players as soon as possible. Mbuemo in our team managed by Howe is that player.
  6. This sort of thing was always on the cards since last summer so I’m pleased it’s sorted early as I was honestly expecting it to be worse than the 2024 window. Mitchell was saying then he’ll be in charge this summer after Howe led the way last summer (essentially blaming him) and Howe clearly isn’t the type to be in the passenger seat. Howe, like Keegan, is an old school manager not some wishy-washy “head coach” who will just make do with what’s he’s given. We need someone who will facilitate Howe’s ideas and plans if this is a job role we’re going to keep. He wants this to be a huge window so we need to make sure it is.
  7. In the last month he’s really been laying the groundwork for being backed financially in a way I don’t think he has before, certainly not in a few years. He’s explicitly saying we don’t have PSR problems and we need to sign players. The ball is firmly, and publicly, in “their” court now. Howe has made himself beyond bulletproof so there’s no excuse for the club and the transfer team to not fully back him.
  8. A visual indicator of just how injured he is. From this to almost nothing basically overnight. We'd have pissed 2nd if he was ok.
  9. LOVE how much they’ll have hated helping us. Makes it all the sweeter.

They finished 14 points behind Sheffield United, a team who would almost certainly be relegated next season. For context we’d be 12th if we dropped 14 points.
  11. He seems to encapsulate exactly why Man Utd losing is always the best option. I’m not looking but his response to the people laughing at him will no doubt be “How meneh trofehs you won?”.
  12. Looking forward to all the new depths Radcliffe can sink to in an attempt to further tighten his string belt after this.
  13. The knock-on effect of this is hopefully catastrophic. Cunha should be running a mile for a start.
  14. The people wanting rid should remember how he helped save our season last year with all the injuries we had. He played injured and knackered many times when we’ve had plenty of players over the years who didn’t want to play even when fit. He absolutely deserves the benefit of the doubt and our support, not us “being open to selling him” because he’s out of form. No doubt if he scores on the weekend this will all be swiftly forgotten until his next bad performance.
  15. We should sell him (and definitely not just because we lost yesterday and need a scapegoat). Can’t imagine how that kind of short-sighted, reactionary thinking could massively backfire.
  16. If Villa and Chelsea win on Friday, Man City will be 6th heading into their game so the pressure will really be on.
  17. I love us diving and cheating. Other teams do it so why shouldn’t we? If Willock had been given the penalty against Brighton we’d be 2 points closer to the CL, all for a decision nobody would remember a week later.
  18. Loads essentially wrote off Anderson who very quickly became a key player in a team chasing champions league football. He was older and had almost certainly shown less for us. Like Anderson, Miley needs games and lots of them.
  19. We’ve taken 12 points off Man Utd and Tottenham this season so we should expect the teams around us to do similar. Anything less being a bonus.
  20. The game is frequently won/lost by the time he comes on. His main (only?) job now is to give Isak a rest which could easily be Osula’s job since those minutes would be far more valuable to him.
  21. Wouldn’t be surprised at all if Wilson has an appearance bonus in his contract and Howe is giving him a few pay days on his way out as a thank you. Wilson has done a lot for Howe over the years.
