Am I the only one who finds this tone strange from Eddie? He's so relentlessly positive on players even (and especially) when they play terribly. If there really isn't some sort of games-requirement in the contract, and Eddie is being genuine, I find the whole thing quite strange

What are the thoughts on Hall's loan with obligation to buy having some qualifying metrics - for example, a games-played requirement? I think the decision not to play him makes a lot more sense if Eddie's decided he doesn't fit with the squad long term, and is avoiding needing to buy Hall in the summer and cutting into our already limited transfer budget?

Newcastle's woes aside, I don't think a top 4 race is in the cards for ManU, and I don't really see how you could think otherwise. When was the last time an EtH side beat a top 6 side in the league? Losing away to a top side like us or City is fine, but you can't get top 4 while collecting zero points from the top 6-8

A trophy and eight place in the table would not have the bosses all that happy in my opinion. I think PIF see us as an international team, or at least that's the ambition, which would make European football of the highest order of importance

Hindsight is 20/20 but would've been a good idea to give Trips some rest yesterday and let the youngster have at it. We know Hall is capable of filling in for a game here and there. I'm sorry to say last night was very predictable, someone else said it but it had Bournemouth 2.0 written all over it before it began. And it's not an indictment against Trips, the guy is incredible, but he's old and clearly needs a rest every now and again. At a minimum, Hall should've had a half last night. Edit to say that I of course mean Hall on left Tino shifts over to the right

What a strange season

Outside of Diaby I don't find that bench all that impressive. What we do know is there are 3 or4 guys in their starting xi who are playing out of their skin this season, and if one goes down it stands to reason they'll see a drop in quality

I think Miley showing he's already able to slot into the starting xi (and arguably put some pressure on longstaff to perform when he returns?) means a winger and ch are more likely what we'll see in january. Honestly not so concerned with Dubravka to fill in while Pope's out
