In Tino's back pocket like
-
You just get the sense its bad luck against these at this point
-
Gordon looking ready to launch into outer space
-
Hall carded in the opening moments following Adeyemi histrionics and now he's lost it in his pocket the past 40 minutes?
-
Longstaff looks a real liability on the ball at the moment
-
Love the creativity with Tino at RW and Gordon with a little rest I reckon Joelinton more in that holding role he's been in lately?
-
January, where art thou?
-
I feel like Tino for 60 at LB and Hall for 30 makes sense. Don't fancy the idea of moving Trips around from his preferred RB.
-
His ability to dribble into space through the midfield and start an attack is immense... He really seems an integral part of Eddie's plan. Don't see them buying a replacement personally
-
Arsenal would do well to take the Gabriel dive/no-call as a lesson: if you go around diving the whole match, the ref is going to be more likely to swallow his whistle on borderline calls plain and simple.
-
HWTL - Arsenal were flopping the entire game. Saka pretty much fisted the ball to himself up field at some point, and Havertz nearly snapped Longy's ankle. End of the day, goal could have gone either way, went our way, that's football. We're massive. Arsenal can whinge all they want. Fact is Havertz should've been off 20 minutes in and was let off the hook. A big coin flip call didn't go there way and that's the nature of the game.
-
Yea, as if Havertz hasn't nearly snapped Longstaff's ankle in 2 pieces 30 seconds earlier

This is an inaccurate characterization, though, and is not true of European law generally. You break the football rules in Italy, you get punished not only by the Italians, but also the English... In other words, the English ban has already come down, and now the question is whether there will be a second English ban. To me, that reeks of double jeopardy. In European law, there is a prohibition against double jeopardy that extends across national borders. So it's not as cut and dried as it might seem.
-
Enzo Fernandez went a few months earlier for double that - in a year of extremely inflated price tags, it was a bargain with the info we had
-
Anyone else think the fee we paid makes a bit more sense in light of all of this? 55 million pound for Tonali, pride and joy of his hometown club, rushed out in the span of a few months? Hard pressed to believe Milan had no inkling of this
-
Surely he's deleted his texts at this point
-
I wonder if Eddie will give him a crack at midfield at some point with the injury woes.... I believe he started in the midfield against City? Regardless, seems like a when, not if, proposition with Hall. All the talent is clearly there to be unlocked
-
You have to think Hall and Livramento will be absolutely desperate to show something to Eddie tomorrow

Sven Botman: Out for up to 8 weeks after minor Knee operation (Howe)
Upthemags replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
Shocking run of bad luck really. Is there any other team that matches our grievances? Elliot with a weird aggravation, Barnes stubs his toe, we don't even know what's wrong with Botman, Isak can't play more than 2 games in a row without a significant setback, Murphy's shoulder is still lying on the pitch at St. James, and oh yea Sandro was throwing the mortgage on AC Milan games......... Is this some sort of divine balancing of the club's luck after after last year's fortuitous season? (Can someone please cover Gordon, Bruno, Callum, Trips* and Schär in bubble wrap please.) -
I like our chances but it's definitely not cut and dried... 7, 8, 9 are Brighton, MU and West Ham. We'll likely be 7 end of tomorrow. Don't think we'll stay there but upper-mid table is going to be a dogfight this season.
-
I'd take a win over Arsenal 10 times out of 10. I think a top 6/7 position, and European football next season, is almost invaluable for a club looking to impress itself on the international level.
-
I think 70 million quid on two fullbacks not fit to see the pitch was a terrible allocation of limited funds, when we knew we needed depth with European fixtures
-
About 120 million quid from the summer transfer window that are non-factors for this team (160 million quid if you count Barnes, but I'm assuming he'll at least feature as a sub in the new year) It's harsh and hindsight is 20/20, but the summer window was a shocker from Eddie, especially when we needed to stretch everything we had to expend under FFP for quality
-
Would be a miracle to get a result from this
-
I just don't really believe Spurs. Have the faced any adversity this season? Jorginho basically rolled the ball into his own net with his hands for them for god's sake.
