Same TBH I'd rather Isak stayed for a season and we got someone like Wissa Also preferred Pedro and Ekitike But yeah I hope I'm wrong and the Howe factor too
-
Dibling and Douglas Luiz for £60m- £70m wouldn't be bad
-
Bruno tweeting some highlights of him and Paqueta Please be a hint

Weren't Leeds looking at Muniz?
-
Cheers, makes sense Love it when a keeper can slice open a team by passing into the midfield/forward line without lofting it I guess we don't need Ederson/Raya level comfortable with the ball, just someone who can act as a +1 at times
-
RW and GK sorted RCB, ST and CM next please
-
Seen a few say his passing/kicking/distribution isn't that good But I've seen a few videos on twitter that suggest otherwise? His passing into midfield looked great Though maybe it was a while ago and he'd regressed

Too early to say of course as the window is still open But I really wanted this window to be the opportunity to push on from our peers and distance ourselves where possible Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool - Way ahead of us, and that's fine, we can still beat them in Cup Finals Chelsea, Villa - Not much in it between us 3 I think, though Chelsea's endless resources give them a clear advantage over a 60 game season for certain. Plus, Chelsea are having a great summer Man U, Tottenham - unknowns for me, could see them pulling a 60 point season, could see them still being shit too Really hope we get some good players in to keep up with Chelsea and create distance on Villa
-
Fucking hope we refuse to sell / sell for above £150m Not least for the reasons everyone has said, but the marker for him will be HUGE next summer Liverpool, Bayern, PSG, Barca, Madrid (could they sell Vini, play Mbappe LW etc...) hell even Chelsea could try and land him Could see us still getting £120m easily next year Hoping we keep him for another season, and get 1 or both of Sesko/Wissa.
-
If he goes than I really, really hope we get Sesko and Wissa 1 player with an elite ceiling (like when we signed Isak) 1 player ready to hit the ground running, 19 non pen goals, great injury record etc etc 24/25 - Isak, Barnes, Gordon, Murphy (Osula and Wilson non existent) 25/26 - Sesko, Wissa, Gordon, Barnes, Elanga, Murphy, Osula Good options, and probably as good as it gets considering Ekitike got snapped up. I'd say our floor is a lot higher with those options, but are ceiling isn't quite as high as Isak on form is genuinely magic. Players like Jackson, Watkins etc are too expensive and high profile to not be first choice for us, and I couldn't see us getting one of them as well as a Sesko - Massive backwards step imo

Pre-season (2026/27): NUFC to play Everton at Murrayfield on 12/08/26
janpawel replied to bowlingcrofty's topic in Football
Is this on any streams / dodgy sticks, or only through the club? -
Agreed. We're in a strong position regarding situation if we get 1/2 forward players in IF Isak is here next season and sulky, then he has time to sort himself out, and get into good form to put himself on the market next summer
-
Surely a human rights case if he was FORCED into employment? 😂
-
Also I hope we 'full upwards' with regards to goalkeeper targets As in it went, Delap < Pedro < Ekitike etc Hope similar happens for keepers, but as others have said, we might stick with Pope and Dubs
-
Probably a stupid question, but why didn't we incrementally bid more to see if City would back out? £27m isn't much at all for him, if we really wanted him, why not offer £30m, £35m etc, and either City pull out, or we make them pay more than they'd have liked Unless Trafford told us he didn't want us at all, and he'd refuse us anyway
-
What do you mean it is July 31st?
-
If we end up paying £45m for Wissa, then I wish we'd have launched the £60m Brighton wanted for Pedro as soon as the window opened, before Chelsea had their CWC income Hindsight and all that. And they probably still would have outbid us etc etc
-
I wish Newcastle were allowed nice things such a this!
-
In the scenario where Liverpool want to get him on a free next year, or pay only £30m for him or something And Liverpool is his preference But we are interested and would be happy to pay £40-45m And Palace would be happy to accept this Do we walk away as we aren't his first preference? Do we try and and make it happen? Does player power win and he ultimately goes on a free next year / if Liverpool meet what Palace want etc
