Which is an exciting prospect thinking about next summer.... I've no idea who we could be scouting!

Injuries are always terrible, but it's such a shame this season as I was so excited for us to give everything our very best go with our A/B teams It's clear that we had 2 different sets of 3 up front for the league and the cup competitions, (isak/gordon/Miggy, wilson/barnes/Murphy etc) and likely the same for the midfield 3 in that we had 6 players who could slot in We know he doesn't like to rotate the defence, but if the defence was fully fit and with Lascelles showing how good Eddie can make people behind the scenes, I'd have confidence in us making 1/2 changes as and when in order to rest our best back 4 and we'd still perform well Now our hand is forced and we're praying for no more injuries, nightmare

Yeah seeing everyone else's point swings would be interesting, especially in comparison to ours, I'm suprised at villa only being 2 better off as they have started exceptionally, though if they won these fixtures last year the fair enough. Tottenham, Villa and Liverpool you'd think will score more points or potentially could do , man u, Brighton and Chelsea perhaps around a similar level

Yeah our only away win so far is against Sheffield, we definitely do need to make sure we are getting wins away from home against the bottom half teams

I've wondered this too once Hall is in the first 11, though looking at our current midfield options of Bruno, Tonali, Joelinton, Willock, Longstaff, and Anderson / Miley....surely one of them would need to make way if we planned on purchasing another midfielder

I really hope they can negotiate him to train with us during the ban, maybe on the grounds that he is a foreigner, doesn't speak the language etc which will only support him during his time off, unlike Toney who won't have such issues Would massively help him to get 10 months of English lessons and Howe's training under his belt

Yeah I wonder what will happen with Barnes when he is back! Gordon has made that spot his own, however I can't see us having Barnes on the bench forever, but moving Gordon to the right would interfere with this nice Murphy / Miggy rotation we seem to have

Last season someone was doing a sort of expected points forecast, while cumulating the actual points we got in order to track our progress to reach 70/75 points for CL.... Is anyone going to do it this season?

If we did get him on loan or whatever, surely he'd sit as the deepest midfielder, couldn't see him in front of Bruno It would maybe open the door further for hall/livramento to be our full backs playing as wing backs, with Phillips dropping in to be the 3rd centre back.... As it would seem a bit over the top imo to have burn as a 3rd centre back with Phillips sitting in front

If Milan indeed new this was coming, then what's the likelihood that Tonali knew too? And if Tonali knew, do we really want a player who (if the above is true) basically used us to take the punishment rather than Milan, essentially sabotaging us? I'm not saying this is true or my line of thought, it's just an angle I haven't seen many discuss..

Was wanting to ask this too in the very worst case With our owners being so rich, I'm sure they could afford a £50M replacement (again, in worst case), but if FFP wouldn't let us write off the fee for Tonali, then we'd be severely hampered by FFP

So do you guys think we are set for the near future for centre mid? Providing no outgoings, then we have Bruno, Joelinton, Willock, Tonali, Longstaff, Anderson and then Miley coming along... That's 6/7 and all pretty young I'm just wondering as a lot of people still discuss us getting a DM/6, but surely in order to get one we'd neeed to sell one of the above, even if we got a young player happy to be on the bench, soon (and if all fit) we're already going to have 3 of those on the bench who will want/need regular minutes I wonder what out first choice midfield 3 will be in 6 months if they are all fit!!
