  1. he had a good win against Spurs during that mad season here 2-1 late Duff strike after great linkup with Viduka RIP JFK
  2. we've had some great home results against Spurs down the years some fond memories include 7-1 Keegan 6-1 Robson FA Cup 4-0 Robson a few late winners (Ketsbaia, Duff - how the hell did that team go down?) a few 3-1s 2-1 Pardew 5-1 relegation season 6-1 last season cause for optimism I suppose fuck Spurs
  3. Ginola14

    Harvey Barnes

I think it's about managing the entire game when it's likely to be close
  4. Ginola14

    Harvey Barnes

I'd keep Barnes on the bench for now if possible since 5 subs became a thing the importance of having a strong bench should not be underestimated Everton last week were a good example, we had no answer
  5. Man U consistently getting outplayed this season but somehow nailed on for top 6 such an annoying team thanks Liverpool for letting them off the hook again ?
  6. true hopefully we get them back but I'm sure they'll still have that 6-1 in their minds and wanting to make more amends
  7. I don't know why but I've been fearing this game for a while something about them getting us back for last season am never confident when I see our bench I suppose they did lose 3-0 at Fulham a few weeks ago so you never know with Spurs
  8. as badly as we played at times I think we had much better openings and chances overall, and Schar very unlucky not to score haven't seen the xg but imagine we came out well on top Great result considering we were without 11 players, they had a fully fit squad and defent home record Barnes and Anderson good off the bench - we've really missed that so much this season fingers crossed Willock is okay
  9. looking forward to about 15 mins added time and getting fucked with a late goal
  10. not a single injury - what a dream that must be
  11. think Barnes would be better used off the bench will likely need to have somebody able to come on and make an impact
  12. true I'd say he's upped his game a bit and is next in line for the captaincy, seems like a natural leader
  13. toss up between him and AG for our player of the season a lot of Bruno's work isn't always as noticeable but he's so influential and we don't win games without him
  14. a win would certainly make up for the disappointment last night just can't see it atm
  15. it's an incredible run he's on without a booking and with the threat of 2 game suspension hanging over him I'm sure he realises how indispensable he is to the team right now and is no doubt under strict instructions to be as disciplined as possible
  16. think Fulham will win comfortably unfortunately if we had a proper bench it'd be a different story
  17. can't be too mad at Dummett - he really stepped up against City in the LC this season and then again at Old Trafford he messed up last night like so many others have also done this season he will likely be needed in the run in so hopefully he can manage okay and fans don't turn on him
  18. end of April is basically season ending so many fucking season enders this season we have 3 games in May but 'a month out' according to Howe is usually much longer in real time
  19. I'm starting to think it's normal to get at least one injury per game the football calendar seems to be at breaking point yet FIFA and UEFA still intent on expanding existing competitions and creating new ones, so best get used to it really sours my enjoyment of football
  20. when it's us holding on there always seems to be 2 or 3 or 4 mins additional added time like Liverpool away last season and that 98th minute winner PSG's 99th minute penalty even at the weekend against Wham it went from something like 4 mins to 8 and they almost scored and when we complain everyone just says that's what you get for timewasting but tonight it's somehow blown up bang on the 9th when clearly there should have been more - and fuck all gets said about it no way that happens if Liverpool are chasing a goal timekeeping should not be so wildly inconsistent in this day and age, no excuse for it
  21. annoyed with the result but not the performance can't ask much more from this group of players keeping in mind the Wham game must have been incredibly draining, then to lose Gordon along with 3 more injuries and another injury tonight of course had Gordon been available am absolutely certain it'd have been a comfortable win fuck this season
  22. thougth things couldn't get any worse than Dec injury crisis fucking hell
