    Anthony Gordon

away from home he's not the same player but I suppose that's symptomatic of whole team - home and away like night and day he needs to stop getting booked for dissent - I thought he got the ball but the way he wouldn't STFU at the ref was moronic and will cost us too many stupid bookings and that suspension he got against us Everton probably cost us two points infuriating performance tonight
  2. guessing Howe also has an eye on Saturday expect some rotation and Tino to be unleashed against Sheffield United
  3. I think Ange is too tactically one dimensional to have much success there that game against us and their 1-4 defeat to Chelsea being prime examples not having any plan b and relying on doing plan a better will be his downfall - I hope!
  4. that's annoying like the other cartel clubs it doesn't seem to matter how much they fail on the pitch
  5. if Spurs miss out on CL again how bad would that be for them? considering their massive stadium debt hope it means they miss out on top targets which screws them for years to come always preferred Villa getting 4th ahead of one of these wannabe ESL clubs
  6. just seen that Villa have two very winnable home games (v Bournemouth and Chelsea) before Spurs play again (v Arsenal at home) assuming Villa win those games, they'll be 9 points clear of Spurs - the pressure on them to then beat Arsenal would be massive if they don't beat Arsenal, I can see them throwing the towel in completely - even more so for the season with 5th not getting CL I would be delighted with 6th/7th but 5th would be epic
  7. City ripping off Wor Flags prematch? don't recall seeing similar displays there before didn't think it was very good mind
  8. on balance of play they absolutely deserved to win but they only got a draw after a bollox decision in the 98th minute therefore managed to go through unfairly that's the reason I think most are saying they shouldn't be here
  9. Man U fan using Xg to argue that PSG should have won fair enough so Man U should only have 37 points last I checked the xPts table ?
  10. nobody would've had any complaints about the PSG result and them going through had they done so fairly the refs were all stood down by uefa the next day, it was a farce of a decision
  11. After a bullshit amount of stoppage time
  12. Dortmund at home could've been so different if Isak (rested a few days earlier in 4-0 win over Palace) hadn't pulled up after 15 mins and as you say the Wilson sitter and bar x 2 Tonight shows what an incredibly tough place Dortmund is to go - probably no team in Europe can match their home support and atmosphere nevertheless Joelinton should've made it 1-1 there, we also had a load of injuries including Isak so always unlikely to get something from that game the Milan home game was probably more our own undoing

    Nick Pope

was just remembering how good he was against Milan in the San Siro what a pity he missed out on the return would be fitting if he made his comeback against Man U after being injured in the reverse
  14. at this rate our gd advantage over Chelsea won't be looking too healthy thanks Everton
  15. could really do with Arsenal showing up at Old Trafford for a change
  16. remarkably we've now scored more goals this season after 32 games than all last season imagine what what this team could have done without the never ending worst injury crisis ever and Tonali ban
  17. honesty how the fuck do Man U do it? their xPts according to Understat almost has them in a relegation battle ffs am pretty sure last season they were also lucky to finish ahead of us remember trawling Red Cafe last season and they had a thread about whether Newcastle would finish ahead of them - anyone who suggested yes was torn apart the logic being that we played terrible football and they couldn't understand how we scored so many goals unbelievable
  18. when Keown said that I assumed he meant Isak, but then though he must have meant Van der Ven? as you would think most PL pundits know Isak is far more than pace Speed merchant is how you describe players like Obertan
  19. Man U are hilariously bad considering all the resources fucking depressing how they somehow keep getting away with it am surethey'll go on to win it now in the 100th minute
  20. Ginola14

    Joelinton

    is he back on grass?
  21. winning this to go above ManU would be absolutely beautiful however I think Spurs could have a field day if they show up competing in the PL against the better teams with 13 players unavailable is not realistic unfortunately
  22. I've been to the Bernabeu a few times and it's an incredible stadium apparently their decision to close the roof is supposed to make the atmosphere more raucous I think I'd be disappointed if I was at the game - they've such a great history of producing magical open air nights edit - 2-1 now and place is rocking, what do I know
  23. Ginola14

    Joelinton

if he's back for Old Trafford game that would be a massive boost even just the sight of him coming off the bench
  24. looks like an exciting prospect so I hope we keep him but if Ajax can get the kind of crazy money they got for Antony, then who knows what he could be worth to us if he continues to develop there and grabs headlines
  25. while Man U have been badly hit by injuries, they just look like a poorly coached team most of the time and rely on individual brilliance to bail them out over and over without needing to play well if Bruno Fernandes gets injured for any significant period I think they'll be really screwed I've watched enough of them this season and could probably count on one hand the number of times they've deserved to win most of their jammy wins by one poxy goal too - their gd is pathetic and must be one or the worst ever for a top 6 team at this stage of the season
