  1. Arsenal are clearly a few levels above us, as they should be it's hard to watch but that's where we are will take time to really compete at this level having more options in midfield next season will help massively
  2. think we're fucked if they score early but still have have a feeling we'll exceed expectations tomorrow would love a late Willock off the bench special
  3. they also escaped Havertz getting sent off which started all the aggro that game
  4. would love it if we actually rob them of 3 points this time imagine the reaction if we score with our only attempt and they miss a ton of chance
  5. it's a bizarre narrative they've invented considering Arsenal managed just one tame shot on target that whole game, which was straight at Pope from edge of the box they literally created nothing of note so at best they might have got a 0-0 draw
  6. it's unfortunate and kinda typical for us they're in such red hot form right now timing of fixtures so important and generally has not been favourable to us this season would be delighted with a draw but expecting nowt no more injuries ahead of Blackburn would actually be a result
  7. same for me Wilson injury makes this season almost a write off will do very well to get 3 points today with the chances we're giving up and lack of cutting edge up front
  8. it's even just the option of having players like Wilson to bring off the bench and give others a rest he was so effective last season coming off the bench now we have to run Isak and Gordon into the ground again which will inevitably result in them picking up knocks don't even have Joelinton to fall back on anymore can still hope for a miracle in the cup but that's not saying much
  9. that's the season pretty much over then was hoping things would dramatically improve second half of season but it's just more of the same never seen the likes of it before
  10. JFC if true club is cursed

    Joe Willock

rotten luck I think - he was introduced back into the team gradually 20" v Dortmund 18" v Wolves 90" v Man U 28" v Arsenal 80" v Dortmund 90" v Bournemouth the latter two we were down to the bare bones which probably didn't help

    Joe Willock

was expecting to see a picture of him back in training when I saw this bumped will be like a new signing once he gets up and running his goal at Old Trafford is probably my favourite this season along with Barnes against Luton, the way he just pinged it into the bottom corner so far out
  13. am pretty certain it will not be comfortable losing Gordon is massive
  14. no good news re injuries is very disappointing again had hoped Willock would've been closer and at least Barnes ready to start a few more fit and I'd be fully confident for most games like this
  15. so just the following missing then? Isak Gordon Joelinton Willock Tonali Pope Anderson Lascelles Targett gonna be a tough game, would probably be happy enough with a point
  16. probably not the worst thing for Villa if they go out of the cup as should enable them to focus more on league and Europe really hate Chelsea and their jammy cup runs though
  17. easy win for Man U at Villa Park at the weekend so Emery out
  18. this is fucking depressing if true I don't think we will get any better than Howe for the foreseeable he is clearly a brilliant and ambitious coach who's just having a rocky season this is primarily due to an unprecedented amount of long term absentees also way too many games coinciding with above, especially against elite opposition - a victim of his own success really nobody will work harder than him and I am confident he will continue to learn from his mistakes and improve (don't think I could say that about mangers like ETH and Potch for example) if Eddie were to leave because fans turned on him midway through this season then I despair we're lucky to have him imo but maybe don't deserve him
  19. amazing how we'd barely conceded at home all season before Chris Wood tortured us
  20. I know we've beaten Villa home and away 8-2 aggregate, but still delighted those fixtures are out of the way and would be happy to avoid them in the cup
  21. not giving up on this season yet with the fa cup still to play for the league doesn't really matter that much to me anymore - not getting European football may be a blessing that said it would still be incredibly annoying to finish behind that poxy Man U team again
  22. early Klopp Liverpool teams had a few of those sort of games hopefully we can follow a similar trajectory with end of season cup final to boot
  23. Ginola14

    Anthony Gordon

fantastic play for goal to make it 2-1 what a player we have here
  24. I think conceding 4 at at home to Luton may result in Burn being dropped for Tino - so far this appears to be Howe's major blind spot, like the Forest game what happened today just seemed inevitable overall still doing a great job and would hate for player loyalty to be his downfall
