I just hope we adequately replace him like we did when we sold Andy Cole. Sadly, there doesn't seem to be much striking talent out there, at the moment. Isak himself, whilst very good, is no peak Alan Shearer, Batistuta or R9. We are in a very weak era for centre forwards.

There is no guarantee Liverpool will come in for him again in this window or offer the kind of fee we will be after. Next summer he could have had his pick of Barca, Real, PSG, Bayern and yes, Liverpool too. Just had to give us another season.

It's a shame it had to end up like this. I never expected him to stay forever, but at least give us one more season and then go next summer with our blessings and gratitude. The way he's done it has fucked himself over more than anything. I mean who's going to come in for him at this stage? Is he really going to consider going to Saudi? At least next summer he would have had plenty more options to choose from.

Im fine with incremental improvements TBH. I think when the Saudis came in a lot of people thought we were going to turbo charge our way to top, or at least maintain the incredible rates of improvement we saw at the beginning when we basically went from relegation certainties to champions league qualification in the space of a season. That was never going to be sustainable. We were always going to plateau a bit, even without the PSR constraints. As long as our owners and the people within the club are trying their hardest to make NUFC the best it can possibly be, I'll be happy with that...for the time being.

Both Eales and Mitchell have been a complete waste of time since they've been here. What exactly has Eales done of any note during his time here? I can't think of anything TBH.
