Indeed. At some point we are going to have to pull the trigger. We can't just stand around, with our dick in our hands, for yet another window, waiting for the perfect risk-free transfer to fall into our laps. We want Premier League ready signings, well those come at a huge premium. Cheaper signings from abroad? Well, those are not Premier League ready and may end up not adapting to the league at all. Every signing for us will have risk attached to it. Eventually, we are going to have to take some calculated gambles.

Absolutely. For starters, Harvey is a better player than Elanga and offers more to the team. I'd hate to lose him. I honestly don't get this fascination with Elanga. A very limited player that would cost a shit ton of money to acquire. Where is this interest coming from? Eddie? Media bullshit? Wherever it's coming, it needs to stop.

Barcelona and Bayern Munich are apparently interested as well.

How much is Ramsey going to cost? 40m? For bench options, surely there is better value for money out there? Especially, as we have key areas we need to prioritise.
-
No cast-offs from Man Utd, please. Have we signed anyone from Man Utd and Chelsea in the last 30 years that has actually done well for us? I can't think of one. Maybe Danny Simpson, at a push.

Can someone please explain to me how and why Salzburg managed to get themselves into this competition?

That previous post of mine is sarcasm, BTW. Before anyone jumps on me.

Howe is the type of manager who would have foregone Diego Maradona and Lionel Messi due to their lack of height and athleticism.

Since when did Ekitike become an £80m player? I can't really say I've followed his career since he left PSG. He must be really tearing it up in Germany for Frankfurt.

If I was our owners I'd go ahead and sack off PSR the way others like Chelsea have done. What could the authorities do about it? None of it would hold up in a court of law.

I suspect not rocking the boat was one of the requirements for the takeover being allowed to go through.
-
Same here. They will suffer exactly what they deserve.

The Almiron thing, I saw as pure footy banter which we've all engaged in from time to time, I'm sure. And he did apologise for it afterwards. Im surprised it upset so many on here to such an extent.

I have no idea whether or not Sancho is a dickhead, but I do know he is not good enough. And that is the main reason why I don't want him at ours. Grealish has at least shown in the past he can do it in the Premier League. Its about getting him back to those levels...and also slashing his massive wages.
-
I hope we get a deal done quickly, just to ease some nerves around the club, if nothing else. Our last first team signing was way back in 2023, when dinosaurs last walked the earth.
-
I would take Grealish. Sancho is a definite no.

These matches have also come at a rotten time of the year. The season's just finished, people want to switch off from football for a bit.
-
Far too good to be wasting away his career at Neverton.
-
Ashley may have known what he was doing by giving this guy an 8 year contract.
-
And not particularly good ones either.

Mug deal for Dortmund. They've done that transfer with the expectation that they can sell him on for 80-100m in 2 years time. Absolutely no chance that happens. They've been had big time.
-
Ok, maybe them and Real Madrid too.

Man Utd are the only club in the world that can carry a debt of £800m and still function somewhat normally. Every other club would have been declared bankrupt years ago.
