Low blocks are hard for everyone to break through tbf, that's why teams do it. I actually think one of the best ways to combat it is for a winger to get to the byline, drill a ball into the box and cause some chaos, and Elanga could be great for that. My main concern with the team is that we tend to be quite impatient, usually look to quick transition all the time, and while that can work, it can also lead to dangeros turnovers and counters where players are out of position. Hopefully Elanga's also got the touch and compousure to be able to link & maintain possession under pressure & isn't a mainly guy who just thrives running into space.

I think my main concern with DCL isn't so much that he can't hit a barn door, it's that I'm not sure he even knows what a barn is. Plus there's his concerning injury history, which suggests that at least some of the time he'll be fit to play. Anyway, internet dickery for cheap jokes aside, he's a consistently bad finisher, but his all around game as a target man is probably perfectly ok, which gives us something a bit different. Like any deal, all depends on how much really, I suspect he'll want pretty big wages. But if picking up a free lets us go bigger in another area could be worth it. End of the day: cheap / good / willing to be a backup: pick two.

Quality player, best of luck to him. Still think he's got a bit more left in the tank than everyone assumes. Hope he gets a good gig somewhere.
