The only thing I can give to the CB situation, we still feel a deal can be made for Guehi and waiting on Palace European situation to be confirmed.

Opposite side, both him and the club may agree a fresh scenary is good for him after all what went on past 12 months. West Ham get a resonable fee, they can reinvest and Pacqueta can get a fresh start. Would love him here, but could see a deal being made for him to return to Brazil for £40m+

The options are going to be so more open for Isak next summer (which helps us too), so I can see him staying with an agreement he can go next summer. Even Bayern could be in the market for him because Kane will have one year left, and if they can get £50m+ for him, it gives them a run at a big money striker.

Pre-season (2026/27): NUFC to play Everton at Murrayfield on 12/08/26

He's got a world cup to aim for, which could be his only chance of being a starter at a world cup in his career, so he'll be chomping to nail his spot as a key man in that side. -
Feels slightly different to someone who was hounded by his own fans and wanted out as a result when a good offer was there, to what Wissa is doing.

Man Utd getting him and them ending up with a side that has him and Zirkzee on the pitch together would be pure jokes.

A physical player, that gets around cruncing into players and can play ball? That sounds just like the make up our midfield

Guy needs to train if he wants to come here, don't want to be dropping £40m on a guy that has done bare fitness training all summer and joins 4 weeks behind fitness scedule of our lot and has to play catch up. Feel we've moved on from him anyway and he's just doing himself more harm by throwing his toys out still.

I can imagine CEO contracts are probably the most difficult to have rubber stamped. The positive I'm clinging on too, is by the time team comes back, CEO / DoF are signed and there's a sit down meeting with Howe and everyone first day back to devise a plan of attack for August. Howe can then get on the training ground, do his thing, and the new guys deliver the players with the backing of PIF to get it done by end of August at any cost.

Oh no, a player turns us down because they may not be able to move on. I mean join and haggle for a release clause then, or a shorter contract. Romano is one of the biggest bells going. Proper on the Hughes payment.

Like what did he think would happen. Isak last summer, “Darren, this is my last season at the club. I’ll be leaving next summer” Darren “Oh, ok. Didn’t realise your contract was ending, where you planning to go?” Isak “Liverpool, they’ve expressed interest and I’m going to go there when they make a bid”. Darren “Bid? Ah, thought contract was ending how you made it sound like you was off, no ifs or buts”.

I’m talking if he moved for £20m before then scored as he has done in Prem, if clubs would be wanting to drop £70m on him. I just don’t see him as the top end striker value. You look at the strikers that have cost prem sides €50m+, you can argue only Haaland, PEA and Isak have been stand out successes. Others have been average at best for their values, or not even achieved that. Etitike, Pedro, Gyorkes and whoever Sesko joins this summer will be a new wave of expensive strikers where past history shows not all will deliver unless trend bucks.

Worth a punt if a third of the price. He’s not some standout talent, he’s the type if we want to take a punt on, the scouts can locate similar profiles across Europe for fraction of the price. I don’t see much in his game to warrant the price or the guarantee returns for that price.
-
He’s just an ok to good player. If a mid table side picked him up for £20m, yea he would get some goals, but to the level that gets the top sides wanting to bid £70m+, doubtful. But here we are, a club is seemingly going to be sucked into buying him for that, which I really hope is not us.

Players don’t give a shit about what’s happening upstairs Isak has the current league champions after him, been in multiple UCL finals recently, so is seeing this as a chance to move to a club where probably only Man City / Real / PSG can match the chances of winning the major trophies in recent times. Not like there’s opportunities for our other players at the moment. If Real suddenly turned around and prioritised a £100m CM and wanted Bruno, his agent would be using that straight away in same way (especially with his contract length in same place). Wouldn’t be because of a lack of CEO, it would be the heavily increased chance of winning the major trophies. But if there’s no solid interest, it’s just business as usual.

Which is the correct stance. We can get £100m+ next season, so losing out on a £120m bid from Liverpool this summer is nothing. If its all agreed behind closed doors that a sale will happen next summer, we can also spend all season working on how we spend that money, line up transfers and move fast (lol) before World Cup starts, knowing that an Isak sale is coming. This summer we knew what we needed whilst keeping Isak, next summer it will be replacement forward but also using the funds to bring in another defender and CM as an added bonus. Get our ducks in order by this transfer window end, get things clicking on pitch, we can be in a very healthy squad position next summer post Isak.
