  1. Since end of 20-21 season, he’s had one clean season. He was phenomenal for us during his first season, but there’s very valid questions that he needs to answer this season and a first niggle in pre-season isn’t giving me confidence
  2. But why? Because the media keep ramming it down our throats? It’s not like Liverpool are banging our door down and our time is spent fending off bids etc. There’s nothing to do with this that’s seeing us piss about for a fee on Wissa, another player we’re woefully short of the club valuation.
  3. There’s no reason for us to fold. Our dressing room won’t allow Isak to be a dick when his move gets blocked, and the move can be there next summer for £100m+. The optics is worth the £50m IMO. Liverpool will try first bid, and when it’s rightly rejected, they will go for Rodrygo as it’s a cheaper option and they can then spend on CBs as they need them too.
  4. If Liverpool come in with something pathetic like £100m, then we need to tell them instantly FUCK OFF, and move on with this saga. If it’s £120m, it’s a lighter fuck off but one that’s still open for £150m. Their first bid will be telling and what route they want to go down. A low bid will be to get Isak to kick off, which is why we have to vocal in our response.
  5. Think we can nearly put Botman in the soon to be discard pile unfortunately. Giving his size, I can just see injuries being a frequent thing
  6. Rather he plays further forward and the CM we get plays deeper.
  7. And even if he does, Saka probably one of the top 5 RWs in world so wouldn’t be first nor last full back to have a hard time. All part of the learning curve being exposed to this level of opposition which is good for young players like him.
  8. I understand reason why we can’t and it’s like winter 23-24 season all over again, but if there’s offers for likes of Willock / Targett etc. we would normally accept coming in, we have to accept them. Rather bank the PSR headroom for January / next summer, then keep hold of someone who won’t contribute much. A youth player is not ideal, but we have to take money for our fringe players when they’re there.
  9. That team screams MAKE SOME SIGNINGS. Imagine lining up for a UCL game with that.
  10. I’m happy to die on the Garnacho hill But playing under two proper shite managers and averaging G/A every: 23-24 200 mins 24-25: 260 mins Is very good going for someone young. All mute anyway, as it’s not a priority position for us, but he will go elsewhere and be a very good player.
  11. Another HERE WE GO that’s in the mud.

Liverpool need to worry about signing CBs. Gomez injured, Konate linked to Real with 12 months left and they’ve just shipped a load of goals today.

I mean, do we want someone who’s refusing to play to join?
  14. That's an outrageous price. 2 years left, thought they'd be wanting £50m+ easily. Maybe some gentlemen agreement for price to be low which opens door to a move to Brazil.
  15. They will be pushing top half IMO. No reason they can’t have a season like Fulham just had.
  16. Reassuring bit for me is the positions identified. At worse it will be 3 positions and they will be focus (CB/ST/CM). Ideally we need more, but if we want quality we have to narrow down the transfers and position priority does that. Really hope we get a proper out of the blue CM signing that’s a heavyweight. Having another top quality CM will help us so much more than say a Wissa. Just can’t be understated how much we drop off when we have don’t have one of our regulars (or one of the regulars has an off day and there’s nothing to change it with quality).
  17. It will primarily be money, with chance of winning the big trophies. Guy is at his peak right now and wants to cash in on that. Either in the form of a mega contract or a move to a side where he can win league titles. If we offer him the contract, he’ll stay for at least 2 more years IMO.

£30m is a clear indication we don’t really want him. It’s a £5m increase after like 7-10 days of the last bid, when stance has always been at least £40m Just a token offer. Imagine Liverpool doing that to us.
  19. I don’t know, the way he’s ice cool on the pitch and his celebrations, there’s a proper commercial reach to tap into too (especially with the good English language). Won’t have the ‘star’ power, but there’s significant amount to work with if he’s involved in big moments in big competitions.
  20. As each week passes, there’s less reason to sell Isak. If it’s not sounding like he’s joining Liverpool this time next week, he’s staying IMO. If we’re talking £120m for Liverpool to buy, we can get that next summer after Isak posts another 20+ Prem season, as I’m sure more clubs will be interested. Spurs got £100m for Kane with one year left. There’s no point selling Isak late in window as it doesn’t do us any good as there’s no guarantee we will get the signings we want because why would selling clubs sell late on themselves, unless it’s for premium prices? Which we’ve shown window to not match.
  21. That’s a Man City move incoming, and maybe why they’ve held off on going back in for MGW.
  22. Fitting tribute though to the third kit memories.
  23. The away and third kit shambles too. All lining up for bit of a joke season
  24. Spurs and Arsenal back in the late 00s / early 10s, and it kept them firmly at arms length from others.
