Probably feel that was a mutually agreed sale since end of season, as there was never any talk of Longstaff staying and all about him leaving.
-
Going to have to be some jump up in our offer to get this done. Would think Brentford likely want closer to £40m based on Toney / Mbeumo fees. We’re £15m off that already
-
The lack of incomings will also impact outgoings IMO. Like if we got offers now for Willock etc. we will have to turn them down like we did with Almiron in past, because we can’t afford to lose them despite their contribution being negligible. Got signings done by now, it provides us a more stronger positions to capitalise on outgoings which has been our biggest weakness.
-
Trying hardest to make Mbeumo deal look like a massive W is not going to look like that in practice when he has 3 goals and then fucks off to ACON for 15% of the season.
-
Real Madrid better not fucking sign Fernandez and get Chelsea off the hook for a massive deadweight.

Payslip leaked after one day. Shameful stuff from Garnacho

In the past I would say us offering £30m is an induction we know a deal can be made, but then last summer and this says opposite. It’s an offer way off valuation, and just all a complete waste of time. As soon as Spurs offer, he’s off there. Previous manager, UCL too and doesn’t have to move from his London home. So it’s a non-starter straight away.

Our scouting network has been nothing more than “Premier League”

he’s about a finished product because of his age. Guy chucks in so many brain dead things over the years, it’s something that’s in his game. People who like to laugh at Onana, Costa is the same. A good keeper, but will provide comedy and at £50m, it’s why he’s still in Portugal.
-
Won’t spend £30m on Trafford, doubt we will spend £50m on Costa. Ramsdale would be jokes. Guy is proper average and clubs keep getting suckered into buying him for £25m. Like pass the parcel, some club going to be stuck with him eventually where there’s no resale and it’s loans till he leaves on a free. Avoid at all costs.
-
Garnacho is a very good player for his age, but we’ve signed our RW so it’s a non starter. Suddenly lost a LW though, he’d be a great pick up.
-
Chalobah is someone I said we should’ve got last summer when we were pissing about over Guehi. Was available for a bargain price, ended up going to Palace on loan ffs Then recalled back, done well, and price now going to be more expensive then if we just made a move last summer (like someone else).

Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

It’s only annoying as he genuinely has a skill set that can make him phenomenal and it would be a preference to have that be experienced here. But at £79m and club breaking wages, it’s one you can let pass as we have Isak. A lesser talent that could jump up is equally as good right now as an alternative. -
It’s a team that has more legs in it, but I can see it being same issues. Full backs penned back because a midfield two is easy to overrun, meaning Diallo / Dorgu deep in their own half which I’ve not seen from either be good defensively, and front three isolated dealing needing to manage attacks on their own. Will yield better results as Cunha / Mbeumo will pluck something from their was on occasions, but nothing about Amorim set up convinces me it will ever work.
-
But he supports Man Utd?! Must be banking on a Garnacho sale to afford a striker? Really do hope they fail to get Europe again this season so they actually face real consequences for their spending when in debt and owing 100s of millions in transfer payments still.
-
The briefing about Man Utd being unhappy with Brentford is a weird one to leak out. Cynic in me would be saying it’s laying down the foundations for if doesn’t go well that transfer.

Hughes has been leaking to media all summer, so will no doubt be leaking some BS to make the deal seem as a W. -
Don’t know what his contract was either. Could have a break clause which he activated, and that’s just as much on the club for allowing such a thing.
-
Tino is a logical deal. He’s one of the key players moving forward and should have wages that reflect that. Lewis Hall will be same next summer when he gets back to fitness and delivers what he was doing last season.
-
CB / CM / ST and I’ll be content now. Would like a useful FB so Targett can be peddled on, but if we avoid injuries, it’s a squad that can still achieve our aims for this season whilst we hopefully get upstairs sorted out for long term. Don’t expect it to be these players, but ones of similar profile /quality should be achievable if we have £120m left to spend thanks to Longstaff sale. Scalvini £35m Gallagher £40m Torres £45m No reason we can’t do deals like that ready for first home game so there is strong optimism going into it.

In the ballot we go, can't really do the Liverpool game as wouldn't get back home till 3ish in the morning but seeing as I got 0 last season, might as well go in and see what the success works out this time round.

If we weren't in for him, then what have we been doing since the Pedro deal collapsed? Elanga was agreed around same time and it's like 3 weeks on and no offeres anywhere else?
