Ramsey must be regretting this move so much. Had to leave his boyhood club but instead of breaking out like Anderson did. he's bench warming.
-
Annoyed at midfield three. But delighted we've got our full backs, back.
-
Anything but that fucking same midfield three that keeps being trotted out and failing as a unit. Giving what's available: Ramsdale: Thaiw, Schar, Botman, Hall: Tonali, Bruno, Miley: Ramsey, Wolte, Elanga Key to trying to exploit Man City is through central areas on the transition, so Ramsey taking up central positions and Elanga for the pace threat in behind as Wolte drops would be key to me. If we trot out our same approach and 4-3-3, I'll be in disbelief.
-
Warning signs were there from 2nd game when we outplayed them with 10 men 2nd half.
-
For love of god, that better not be the team ffs.
-
If he’s not back to then, he clearly needed surgery and we’re now doubling down on rest is best course. Can we fuck this Bunce guy off too?
-
Famous last words. Newcastle 3 v 1 Man City
-
Also for today, who ever we play outwide, Howe 100% has to instruct them to take up central positions. That’s where Man City are the weakest on transitions, players central and able to run behind. When players are wide, it’s further from goal and more recovery time for the defenders. Small tweak, but something that’s completely different to how Howe usually has us lined up. I’ll be so annoyed if Joelinton is starting CM again and someone like Ramsey is yet again on bench
-
Only needs a slight tweak, a 4-2-3-1. 2 in Bruno / Tonali are naturally deeper and Ramsey ahead of them to play closer to Wolte. Our issue in these games is likes of Foden who take up space behind our flat midfield three, and are easily found and they’re running at our defence. Hall and Trippier at full backs, with Thaiw / Botman at CB, there should be no excuses for not retaining possession. If we’re looking shit with the ball tomorrow, then people need to start to worry. Argument that Barnes / Murphy should be starting wingers, but these are games Gordon lives for currently, and Elanga pace against this Man City backline has to be utilised. GK situation it would be interesting to see Ramsdale, because Man City press if it’s not spot on can work for us with Ramsdale finding our skilled players feet, rather then going long where it’s an instant turnover.
-
Which is dumb because there’s many games to go that will define our season. If we’re still heavily managing him up to mid December then it’s because we have strong fears about his knee and it needing surgery potentially. Take our injuries with a massive pinch of salt after Botman and Hall injury not being serious.

I’d love England to win it, just so I can see / enjoy us winning it whilst in prime years (30-40). After that it will be bit meh for me, as the chances of seeing majority of the games with your friends will be really low, so it won’t have the same feeling. Also some of the games we could miss if we’re in west side. Like who’s watching us at 1am? 2030 will be the main World Cup to gun for, European soil and should be on back of having won a home Euros.

Disagree. Dibling is someone who's like Tino situation, went for £35m. That's still expensive for someone that's more potential than short term output, but it's never going to be £50m+ Not really a Lewis Hall type of transfer this summer gone because they are rare, but maybe Doak closest (in terms of pathway cut off for a top 5 side) and that was similar to what we paid for Hall. Those type of players will have a ceiling value because of three things. 1) Limited pathway to first team, so value only going to drop. 2) Likely a short length on contract because player has held of signing a new deal which is linked to point 1. 3) It's pure PSR profit, so £20m+ is great money for those clubs, as they will see it in their eyes 'plenty more in the pipeline'. Josh Acheampong is the one I've wanted for past 12 months, but him signing that new contract last Xmas was a killer after he was dangled the first team chances. But then this season he's in for a run, then out again. So might be a player Chelsea look to cash in next summer, similar to Tyrique George. Chelsea just a weird club. Man Utd got a very good crop coming through soon which will be worth keeping an eye on. Someone like Shae Lacey for example is talented, but spending big on Cunha / Mbuemo, and potentially again in summer, could close of a pathway for him. Probably harder to entice players away from Man Utd at a young age if they're fans, because once they leave, it's highly unlikely they will ever have chance to go back.

I don't think there's a good market for middling prem players anymore that can step up. You are needing to pay top dollar, so unless you are an established elite side who can afford to do that, likes of us need to be more creative. Ramsey / Wissa / Elanga were daft fees, there's no two ways about it. Hopefully we get a return over time, but it's not a business model that's sustainable moving forward. Market needs to be young players where pathway is blocked for Prem elite and abroad. Banged the drum loads about the English youth pool being stupidly strong in depth, and that's what we need to captalise on whilst we're in this 8-6 club range where pressure is off for now. If it means losing someone like Tonali in the future because our progress is not moving forward at speed to challenge the title, so be it. Because if we add another 3-4 Halls/Tinos to this squad, over next 24 months, the bar will naturally rise where then adding a future Tonali etc. is what then pushes us to a title challenge. Signing the players we did this summer gone won't ever take us that next step. It's just a very expensive outlay to remain where we are, where if it was younger players we wouldn't be worse off because our bottom floor is top 8.

Hard to predict fully because you can only face one nation from each continent (2 from Europe can be in same group i think?), so depends how the draw goes. But my preference would be, Morroco / Scotland / Haiti. Morroco for a tough game, Scotland for the pure shit fest between fans, Haiti for the lols as Kane scores 6.
-
Why would you even put it on Facebook when we all have WhatsApp groups with many friends where you just need to put it there and someone 100% will know someone that will take them.
-
It was basically deals with Textor owned club last summer which was iffy with all what was going on between Palace / Forest. Brazilian market is heavily overhyped. For every Murillo, there’s 5 others that come and go for a cost that people don’t even remember. It will be interesting either way our signings moving forward, if Wilson is still here next summer. He was giving a remit last summer by Edu that saw players come in that Nuno didn’t want. Signings I like, but haven’t returned the goods short term for the £125m spent (Hutchinson / McAtee / Ndoye / Kalimuendo), but firmly believe they will get value and more out of seasons moving forward. Sort of what we need to do, and back Howe being the top coach he is to get the best out of them earlier.

England Jordan Cape Verde Curacao

That’s why you have to disregard players spells at Man Utd when we discuss signing someone from them.
-
Wise man, fuck off the pointless last game, get back to Newcastle and training ahead of Man City game.
-
Saudis giving Liverpool £100m for a Salah who’s on the down slope, taking those wages off their books so they can get Semenyo and be better off financially will sum them up.
-
Explains why he signed that contract then. Think he will be off to Man City if they’ve got any common sense. They badly need a RW who can score since Savinho is a dud and B.Silva is on way out (and Bobb is all that’s left).
-
You hope common sense comes into DRC thinking now they have the massive World Cup qualifiers in March. Wissa sits out of ACON, builds up fitness and confidence with club, ready to play a huge role in March.
