Very true. Think we're all in guilty of living in the past or future at times. The present is where it's at. Let's enjoy Champions League football!
-
Love him, but as we found out 2 years ago, he's not a left back anymore. He can't do it. Not sure what the answer is though.
-
He'll come good, sure of it. Might take a season, but he'll be class. Disappointing he hasn't started well etc, but let's back him. If he's still shit in two seasons then we can get rid.

Not read Howe out on here, that would be so fucking stupid on so many levels. Did hear it on some cunt's stream though, but I expect whoever they were are reactionary and thick as fuck.

Lose at Brentford you mean.

Absolute shite

It's tradition though so how can it be woke?

Not sure, but Liverpool has something similar in 95/96. Actually saw someone wearing it the other day and thought 'what a cunt'. Then thought about how I have the blue one from 95/96, and how everything in life is relative. Still, imagine supporting Liverpool and walking around town wearing their goalkeeper kit. What a cunt.

Much better from himand crucially, he looked happy. Feel like the last two seasons he's been looking negative and the fans getting on his back hasn't helped. Maybe being given a start in a key game gave him a bit of confidence. If he play like that, and with a smile on his face, then we poss have the best midfied in europe, with all six deserving of a start.

For what it's worth, I love the ACON. Amazing games, and I get to see teams and players I would never see normally. That said, it's shite we have to lose some of our players for 6 weeks.

I get the chat about a LB but realistically whoever it was wouldn't get a game. Even when our first choice (Hall), gets injured we have Tino to come in with Trips rb. So whoever came would be 3rd choice. I think we've got more immediate concerns to sort, i.e. a midfielder who has a bit of skill and can unlock a defence.

Well if they're happy to pay what they paid for Jackson I reckon we'll get a decent fee for Walter. Don't wanna think about this though atm. I want to believe he'll stay here forever.
-
Yeah, I noticed that. Was brilliant to see. Someone who's genuinely happy for the team. Hope he stays. Terrific number 2, and could easily be our number 1 if Pope ever got injured.
-
Seriously though, spending over 100 million on a 55 year-old was a stupid decision.
-
Things like this are easy to say in retrospect.

It's funny (kinda) that we had to sell Anderson and Minteh because of PSR, but we were then able to spend more than that in order to buy their replacements in Elanga and Ramsey. By funny I mean bullshit.

I hate that shit! You see it early on in the press. Stuff like: "Newcastle of course, coming into the game without a win at home all season." "Woltemade, yet to score away from home for the mags." Yes, that's because we're 3 games in and we've only played one game at home. I've noticed this shit getting earlier and earlier. Pretty soon it'll be after one game.

Honestly happy with Trips and Kraft coming in. We've got a good squad. Obvs Tino is far superior, but th drop off isn't managed providing they don't run trips into the ground and Kraft actually gets some time. Kraft is a very underrated.

Can see him leaving in summer. He's pure profit and it makes business sense. Sad as fuck, but I'm feeling very cycnical since summer. In an ideal world you'd build your team around youth, around actual geordies. But with PSR and football being a billion pound business, what makes the best business sense? It's to sell him, and buy another youngster from another team to help another side out.
