  1. My Scottish team dunfermline have just given Neil Lennon the managers job until the end of the season. If he keep us up he signs a 3 year deal and gets a juicy bonus. If we go down, we part ways with him. We're currently in 9th place out of 10 with 7 games to go(Scottish Championship), 10th is automatic relegation, we're 6 points ahead of 10th with a game in hand and a vastly superior goal difference. 9th place goes into a relegation/promotion playoff with the winner of the 1st division playoff winners. We're 2 points behind 8th with a game in hand and a vastly superior goal difference. We've also got both teams to play again so it's in our own hands. Lennon is our 3rd manager this season, the other two were hopeless, we've also been bought (2 months ago) by an American consortium and so far they've splashed the cash, getting us new players in (mostly loans but we've paid for a couple),we also spent money removing 1st manager, spent money on the second as well as spending to get rid of him 11 games later. It's not big bucks compared to Newcastle but it's a small fortune to Dunfermline. For the record, Dunfermline are arguably the biggest team in the Scottish championship due to our much larger support than many SPL teams, we've just had a bad 10-20 years where we've underwent administration and nearly went out of business due to older owners overspending, leaving us in the shit and seeing us relegated to the lowest league (at the same time as Rangers). Thankfully the fans came together to keep us alive. Here's hoping he installs confidence back into the players and helps to keep us up before building a squad capable of getting us back to where we belong, the SPL I'm aware this story will have no interest to 99.6% of the forum but it might interest someone. On top of that, we play in black and white, just like Newcastle, hence my love and support for Newcastle as my English team. Come on yee Pars. Come on the tooooooon.
  2. I see that Bournemouth are currently favourites to sign Liverpools Irish goalie who's name I can't spell. He's brilliant though and we should be trying to sign him.
  3. I'm fucking bricking it and I've no nails left to bite.
  4. I wanted an NES buy got a bloody Intellevision. Nothing to do with being poor. My dad could easily have afforded an NES but he was tight with money. Couple of years later I wanted a Commodore 64 but got a ZX Spectrum. Thankfully I loved my Speccy. Mone the Tooooon
  5. Hope for the best but expect the worst. Hopefully Liverpool have an off day and we play the game of our lives. This has to be our time, come on footballing gods 🙏, cut us some slack.
  6. Terrible penalties. Bloody whack the ball instead of trying to be a smart arse

    Alexander Isak

Harry Kane could be available for 67 million but doubt he'd come here, even if we were in CL. Why don't Liverpool fuck off and try to sign Kane?
  8. A comprehensive Liverpool victory unfortunately. 3 or 4 nil.
  9. BLOW THE FUCKING FINAL WHISTLE PLEEEEEESSSSEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
  10. I was going to say 'you were saying?' but I can see Forest coming back. At least we've got fresh legs on now.
  11. Well that news sucks a big sweaty, genital wart ridde knobend. England at this point look like certs for 1 of the 2 extra Champions league places so we should make Europe next year in one of the tournaments. Think I'd prefer the Europa league as we'd have a better chance of progressing deep, but the Champions league would give us more money for GALACTICOS.
  12. I don't think I'd want to go as we'll need a miracle to win (I'd guess its about 75/25 in Liverpools favour). I've been to all 3 recent Scottish cup finals where Dunfermline were involved. Each time leaving totally dejected to yet another Celtic win. Their fans weren't even celebrating because they've become desensitised to picking up trophies. Note: I'm a total pessimist and always fear the worst for the 2 teams I care about so take no notice of my predictions and worries. I'm also a manic depressive so please don't lay into me. I'd cream my knickers if Newcastle won the cup, make no mistake about that.
  13. One off game, Pope between the sticks having a worldy, compsed defence, hard working midfield, early Isak goal and a late second goal on the counter when they're throwing everything at us. Our time has come, records are there to be smashed into smithereens. Glory. 🏆
  14. Wrong. It was the team that cost us. We've got a far better team than Fulham but they dominated the second half and just about deserved the win. If Tonali's screamer had have went in I think it would have been a comfortable victory. A draw would have been a fair result considering Fulhams second half performance. A jammy deflected goal, a shockingly bad winner and the crossbar ultimately cost us. Not the ref though.
  15. That was awful to watch. I knew one goal was never going to be enough. The second the equaliser went in I feared the worst. We'll struggle to get any European football, never mind Champions league with such inconsistency. Fuck all these financial fair play rules.
  16. Is there anything worse than a stupid person being given the chance to pretend to be intelligent on tv and radio? I despise Barton, he looks sleazy, he's thick and a total thug. How he managed to snag a wife is beyond me.
  17. What makes West Ham think that Dhuran would be interested in going there? It's utter madness. He's worshipped at a much bigger club and has some of Europe's biggest teams keeping tabs on him. Did I mention utter madness?
  18. Why don't the rich teams get together and tell fifa to fuck off with their financial rules or say goodbye to any stupid exhibition tournaments in the future. Surely they can do something? As long as clubs aren't spending money they don't have then I don't see any issue. I have no issue with Man Utd spending 100 million on a Brazilian wonderkid as long as we can spend whatever we want. Spend it if you have it,that's what I say.
  19. We deserved fuck all today. Second best all over the pitch. We had to lose eventually but preferably not getting pumped at home. One of the richest teams in the world and we can't buy anybody because of stupid rules that other rich teams seem to find loopholes everywhere. It just isn't right. These ffp rules need looked at. Well done to Bournemouth though, they've been exceptional and far and away hungrier from the start. On to next week, and one thing is for sure, getting a Champions league place is going to very difficult. So many teams in the mix and I keep waiting on Forest to drop away but is still not happening. Nervy stuff, but that's football for you.
  20. Thanks for that. I survive by using extreme suppression and always having my mind occupied by football, tennis, film n tv, music and writing/reading. If my mind has 1 spare minute to think about the shit I'm hiding from then I turn to my old friend valium. Yay life,it's a beautiful thing. The last time I spoke about my problems online (Grcade* depression and anxiety thread), someone called the fuzz to trace my ip address and do a welfare check lol. I watch what I say now. Mone the Toon, Mone the Pars. *videogame forum
  21. He was just as prickish at Celdick too. Tosser of a man.
  22. Another great result. My managerless Scottish team won 4-1 away from home to a play-off chasing team too. Am I happy though? No. F*ck you depression.
  23. Still flying from this result, I'm only disappointed that it wasn't a 5 or 6 goal smashing. Couple this with my pishy Scottish team finally sacking the useless management duo and my depression has lifted somewhat.
  24. Imagine being the Man Utd manager and admitting that relegation is a possibility
