Wilnis, Magilton, Scowcroft. Was a Championship team. They signed Finidi George that summer and some Italian keeper and ended up going back down.
-
Ipswich 00/01. They seemed to lose in the Play-Offs every year, they sold Dyer to us, finally got promoted that season, then finished 5th with the likes of Wright, Bramble, Venus, Holland & Stewart. Took it to the last game to finish 3rd which would have been Champions League.
-
Delap would be a statement signing for Forest if they have ambitions/capability to build on this season as a Wood replacement.
-
Kerkez has Liverpool written all over it.

If Putin offers to pay my mortgage I won't like it any more than you do.
-
Would be nice but all about self-preservation for me. If they slip up tonight then Villa away on Saturday becomes a sod for them. We do our part those two games and the gap is almost wiped out.
-
Could do with Man Utd turning up tonight just to put some jitters up Forest for the run-in.
-
I don't blame them for taking the money, it's the people who watch and give them the platform that I blame.

https://www.teamwass.com/news/wasserman-acquires-international-football-management/ Wasn't sure where to put this, so this is where Charnley ended up.

It's a little bit different, but I like it.

There seems a wealth of LW talent in the £50-60m bracket, probably even less abroad. With that in mind, if Liverpool came back with £80-90m for Gordon in the summer and we could get a Semenyo/Cunha for example to replace him for £20-30m less, would you bite for FFP reasons?
-
Man Utd under Mourinho when they finished 6th, are the only club since Swansea in 2013 to win the League Cup and not qualify for the Champions League through the league in the same season. Even they were in the CL the next season due to winning the Europa League.
-
Put this on pre-season, hadn't really looked a possibility but this weekend Fenerbahce reduced the gap to 6 points with a game in hand over Galatasaray to make it interesting. £5 stake.
-
I'm not too sure. I reckon they'd take 63k in a League Cup Third Round tie home to Preston if they're getting upper 70k to 80k for the big matches.
-
Other than worrying about what other people think about "empty seats" (I'm not bothered personally), why wouldn't we want an 80k stadium if you could sell out for a large chunk of games, get 63-65k for a low key game, and end up with an average of about 73-74k per game?
-
Is this the longest we've went with no Frenchman on the books since 1995?
-
I'd be surprised if we're not linked with Guehi again. You don't spend a full summer bidding £55-65m, then ignore the same player when he's likely available for a bit less than that the following year?
-
Would be lush to get them in the CL next season just to say, "See you in Strasbourg".
-
Sunderland are miles behind what were one of the worst clubs in PL history last year.
-
Might have just stayed at Man City a bit longer for that maybe?

League Cup Trophy Celebration: Saturday 29th March

Ah man, going to be so gutted now when it's not this. Damn you. The stage being in the location of the new centre-circle or something mad. -
If we're not, we should be.

I was thinking next year if we had Rigg. We could take advantage of the loan market to get depth in the 5th/6th choice roles for a year while he gets regular football?
-
In a scenario where we get Rigg this summer, he's one where we wouldn't have to loan out for games because he's already had plenty of first-team football at a good level. Sunderland fans already saying he's looking burned out, we could use him in the Miley role next summer as 5th choice CM, he'd get some PL & cup football while learning Eddie's way, without worrying about burning out. Even send Miley out on loan for the season so he gets game time, 26/27 when there's possibly a first team spot or two up for grabs, they might be ready.
