Two of Gateshead's deadline day signings scoring and ending their stinking run. Hopefully they give them a second wind.
-
Ton Cleverley became the longest serving Watford manager since Javi Gracia last month (a year in charge). They've had 10 permanent managers in between.

https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/i-hope-you-fail-truth-31348249 Dalglish didn't want to sell Ferdinand and hoped he'd fail his Spurs medical.

I don't think their first XI touches ours overall, though. We could sacrifice an A lister for 3-4 more of Villa's quality and loans but I prefer where we are.

I think that's an abysmal law. Surely when he's facing a backpass he's equivalent to an outfield player. Pope handballs it 35 yards from goal, red card. Palmer handles a backpass stopping a goal, yellow and indirect free-kick. Doesn't add up to me. He's illegally denied a goalscoring opportunity.
-
But it becomes a handball when the law is he can't handle the ball, surely? Christ, I'll happily keep Pope knowing whenever the striker charges him down he can just pick the ball up and we can get all 11 men on the line and a yellow card.
-
Why's Palmer not sent off for that for Ipswich? Denying a goal scoring opportunity surely? Basically a deliberate handball on the line and Wolves only get an indirect free-kick for it. Shit, that.

I meant in terms of making Sunderland's job tougher.
-
Would be such a shame if Leeds finished 3rd.
-
I was thinking that before but not sure. I'm sure Leicester were in similar sorts of positions a few years ago and folded in the last couple of games and missed CL when the pressure was on. Keep them honest.
-
Villa v Forest draw today, then? Keeps us ahead of Villa with 2 games in hand, but keeps Forest within 8 and 2 games in hand also.
-
This, or they'll wait until they're out of the Europa League and sound the Ryan Mason Interim Manager klaxon one more time.
-
There were a few shouts of "shooooot", first-half when he had the ball around 30-40 yards out in no way of being in a position to do so. That goal will probably turn it up to Venison & Tiote levels.
-
Our average position in the Ashley era while he held us back, was still higher than Sunderland's while Ellis Short spent more than they could really afford, just to squabble for 15-17th every year.
-
Beat Leicester, Man Utd & Palace and it buys us a defeat at Villa I reckon. Think if we win 6 we've done it. If we win 6 out of 9, Villa would need to win 7 out of 8 and Chelsea 6/7 out of 8 to beat us. If they did that, hats off to them.
-
They had Matt Le Tissier over a few years ago as their first entry into "One Club Legends" club. No idea if was chosen first due to their links. Shame Luke O'Nien had played for a couple of clubs before Sunderland as I'm sure they'd have absolutely loved inviting him over.

No coincidence that Flixbus is a sponsor of the Europa & Conference League.

That Chelsea game is going to be fucking massive. Wouldn't be surprised if that's the game we secure 5th.
-
I was worried about this after the West Ham game, defended well but seemed to get in each others way when we attacked. Sorted the partnership brilliantly the last two games, though.
-
I liked that he wasn't afraid to give Isak a bollocking for that disallowed goal.
-
Aye I think anyone over the age of about 67 would say Tony Green. I'll go Woodgate.
-
I think he meant it for no other reason than I don't think he'd cross a ball that badly.
-
Oh aye, it was a definite one-off. Marcus Stewart for example was a good second/third tier striker but was on fire that year. Bramble probably went on to have the best career out of the group which says a lot. Matty Holland seemed a dependable midfielder but nothing special.
-
The first one inherited a Championship bound team and turned it into a mid-table PL team on a shoestring. The other took over a comfortable mid-table PL team, spent a fair bit, and was taking us back into a Championship bound team.

I really don't imagine that whoever approached him to do the video, will be impressed one bit by his "I don't like it any more than you do". Would be a shame if he lost future perks and future revenue from it. Pretty dumb of him.
