A "great career but not at Newcastle" XI. Forster (had to cheat there, otherwise Beasant) Carr Sansom Campbell Cacapa Thauvin Duff Wijnaldum Geremi Kluivert Owen Honourable mentions to Tomasson, Huckerby, Rush, Saha...
-
Name is on the trophy if the other English clubs get knocked out and we get through..
-
Favourite rather than best I'll go Given Trippier Hall Schar Albert Solano Robert Batty Bruno Beardsley Shearer
-
I'm not sure he'd be any good up front. I think he'd get crowded out & bullied. Gordon has something about him other than the finishing that can do the role even if its not natural. Keep him where he is, or even on the right he can at least have a bit time and space to come inside.
-
Frank would have kept them up around 13-15th I reckon pretty comfortably. Wild decision kicking him for someone like Tudor.

Chelsea vs. Newcastle United: 14/3/26 @ 17:30 (Sky Sports)

Ramsdale Tino (45 mins), Trippier (45 mins) A.Murphy Thiaw Botman Willock Woltemade Joelinton (45), Tonali (45) Murphy Barnes (45), Gordon (45) Wissa Couldn't give a shit about this one tbh, but give yesterday's 11 as much rest as possible to try and repeat last night's energy in Barcelona. -
Think he'd have scored earlier if Elanga had crossed it in one touch sooner during one break. I love the guy, he's like the modern era Robert in that he can go missing for ages or nothing will come off, but will pop up out of nowhere for you.
-
Elanga should have at least 2 assists against Barcelona this season tbf. One pearler for Osula who just missed contact, plus a couple in the first game.
-
So a good atmosphere despite ballots, expensive tickets, "tourists", etc. If the season ticket holders do their job, that's what it can create.
-
If he's patient he could get the Chelsea or Liverpool job I reckon. Maybe even ours.

No issue at all going for the second either. We had momentum and they looked a bit rattled tbh. Was a chance with the fans behind us to give us a lovely little gap. -

Exactly why I wanted Barcelona over Chelsea. The elite European teams aren't used to playing teams as in your face who have the same quality we do. Chelsea are used to that and would probably beat us fairly straightforward over two-legs at the moment. Would honestly rest everyone who we want to start at Barcelona, at Chelsea. The league is gone, or one more defeat probably won't do much difference to a top 8 challenge. Play the same way over there as we did tonight, the first game v these, PSG away after we got through the early storm, I think we can beat them. -

Keeper shoves Barnes. Free-kick to Barcelona. What a fucking arrogant arsehole. -

Play the kids at Chelsea. Give us every chance of playing with this intensity against this lot for as long as possible. They don't like it.. -
Barton is the worst. We've had shit players, shit people (cough, Owen, cough), but Barton leeches on to us despite being an absolutely awful human being.
-
Pope's drop off and Ramsdale not being the answer means we'll likely get quoted a premium for a keeper this summer.
-
Throw in Doku or Savinho with Trafford and yes.

This looks superb. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1HWHZt85gz/

How many have left Bournemouth & Brentford and really taken it up a level at one of the big clubs? No idea how either of the two centre-backs are getting on that left. Semenyo I'll give you.

Brighton have a few exceptions (mainly the ones sold to Chelsea), but Wissa & Kerkez for example have went from these clubs to CL clubs and failed. Maybe they go to Brentford & Bournemouth for a reason?
