Bayern & PSG definitely have the edge in terms of 100% being guaranteed a CL spot year after year so can grow their revenue to go with it. Of course being able to coast from around March like you say is a huge help. There are probably 2-3 English teams with the same benefit in terms of CL qualification year-on-year, but can't just switch off in the league like they can.
