Newcastle United vs. PSV Eindhoven: 21/1/26 @ 20:00 (TNT Sport)

I think if we can avoid the top 3 English clubs, we'd have a chance against anyone. -

Who else now has 5 Man City players with their two January signings? -

I think even as a competition it's been exciting. No guarantees we even make the Play-Offs if we lose on Wednesday, very good chance of automatic qualification if we win. -
Funny how their fans have spent 4-5 years saying they're more worthy of being a Ol club than Brighton, Brentford, Bournemouth, etc, then come up and copy them.

He's going to be 34 when next season starts. If we can get someone 6 years younger in who'd be more than capable cover for Botman, and get some cash for someone when we still have a chance, I'd be all for it. It's not doing business like this which puts us up shit creek with PSR.
-
Of course. Cheeky bid for Tosin?
-
Senesi out of contract in the summer. 28 years old, left-footed, but if someone gave us £6-10m for Burn, it'd make good PSR sense and lower the age of our backup CBs?

Huge game just to try and keep some feel-good factor around. Think if we win, we'll beat PSG and finish top 8, if we don't we'll finish in the last 4-5 places in the Play-Offs. -
Kuol's club? Might be a fun little FM save.

One of those two new strikers is going to end up not playing again for West Ham now isn't he?
-
The difference last 2 years in particular was we had a top 3 centre-forward. When we were struggling his goals helped us to 7th, when we were good, his goals took us to top 5. We're now probably at a truer reflection of where we are. In the summer it feels like we raised the floor but lowered the ceiling with our squad. Next summer we need to raise the ceiling again.
-
I think Brentford are the only club above us who the squad should be definitely ahead of. We should be nearer Villa too, but Spurs should also be closer to both. 6-7th is still around our par.
-
I think they'd all do a job. I'm not saying Woltemade isn't doing a job, but he's not a number 9/CF for me. The rest are.
-
What top teams would he currently suit in their XI?
-
If playing two strikers was still a thing, he'd probably be excellent as a Berbatov to Keane, or Crouch to Owen type. Could play him and Wissa but because most teams play a midfield three, it's asking a helluva lot of what would be a midfield two for us.
-
I like him, think he's a very good footballer, but if Bayern are still keen and would offer £70-80m, I'd be tempted to take it and have another shot at finding the true Isak replacement.

Hebburn only two points behind Hednesford at the top of the league with a game in hand. Wouldn't be a surprise if this time next year, Gateshead are the third placed NE non-league side after being the top dogs for years.
-
4 away points from Villa (when they were poor), Leeds, Bournemouth, Brighton, Brentford, West Ham, Sunderland & Wolves is piss poor. The four 0-0s should have been wins, at least a couple of draws from the defeats. About 10 points down from where we could realistically be.
-
Even he only got a sniff once his dad left.
-
If we played the same way as Sunderland (not too dissimilar to Forest last season), then I'd have a bet that the likes of Elanga would have been good.
-
Aye, easy for a group of players like that to go in and impress at a team with no expectations. Let's see how they'd have done joining a team near the top of the league.

Did Sir John Hall make a racist joke about Les Ferdinand ages ago?

Well if he doesn't mind us laughing at him, what harm's been done? -

Especially when he's worth about £50m.
