  1. Creeping into the Play-Off race. Wonder if they'll go for it in the window.

    Footy trivia

    Mike Jeffrey? Jimmy Crawford?
  3. From the outside looking in, he seemed to be doing a good job managing a club with an absolute scattergun approach to transfers.
  4. Whilst having the 7th biggest budget.
  5. Handily becoming a 1 goal in 3 midfielder as well this season. Lovely fella.

I think someone else said it before, the goal we conceded yesterday is the sort people say, "Pope would have saved that" every time Ramsdale conceded.
  7. Trippier & Lascelles won't be here next season, Schar & Burn maybe have one season left as squad players you'd think. If we got Ake we might even get someone like Leeds or a promoted club who'd think £7-8m for Burn would be worth a shot. I reckon there's definitely scope and room in the squad for someone like Ake for 2-3 years if his wages and transfer fee aren't going to be daft.
  8. I'll be disappointed if we haven't overtaken Everton, Brentford & Sunderland by the end of January. Frig knows how well Chelsea & Man Utd are going to do but need to keep within 3 points of those two and we'll do well.
  9. We beat Villa & Leeds first two away games, possibly even Bournemouth, with Wissa in the side. He's obviously not in Isak's class but he allows us to play the same way and gets in those positions.
  10. Just looking, only 12 months left on his contract in the summer. £10-12m and I'd maybe be interested on a 2-3 year deal but only if we let Burn leave. No space for both in the squad.
  11. Brendan Rodgers: 2016 to 2019 & 2023 to 2025.
  12. 6 out of our next 7 games in all comps are at home. This is a real chance for him to get us up into the European race and keep us in the cups. Regain some confidence and hopefully the away form will click.
  13. But, you know, Nancy will make one too many mistakes. The Celtic board will see what he already knew, and they go in there, they will march in there. They go, Right, yeah, Brendan was right. You've pissed off him and you've pissed off him. You're not the manager you thought you were. Okay. So get out, we made the mistake. Then they drag him out by his hair and that's when the begging starts. They'll come to him and say, Ooh, Brendan you were right all along, you were the right man for this job, you're the best man for this job. Will you come back? He'l be like, yeah sure how much money have you got? Because this is going to cost you, this is going to cost you.
  14. Would take Ake on loan with no obligations to buy or owt.
  15. Anyone notice late in the game, Jones saying something to Howe, then Howe replying with something like, "well go and fucking tell him then", before Jones got up to give some instructions?
  16. Motherwell 2-0 Celtic. Old Firm derby on Saturday as well.
  17. Callum Roberts (remember him!) scores for Scunthorpe against Gateshead. Heed down to 10-men as well and about to go 10 League losses in a row.

He couldn't have been handed a kinder tin of games to come back in like.
  19. They missed out on a CL spot by a small margin. I doubt they'd have even finished top 6 if they'd not signed those loan players.
  20. It's worked for Villa. It worked for Man Utd a few years ago when they got Sabitzer and Weghorst just to patch them through to the end of the season. It's poor for PSR I suppose but I don't see the problem in having a couple of squad players each each season on loan.
