  1. Isak owes us nothing, he is one of the best players in the world and deserves a club that matches those ambitions and crucially, has the capacity to compete, which we won't be able to build for years. I hold no ill will against the guy. Yes, he's under contract and by rights should be with the team in Asia, but none of us complained when Gordon effectively went on strike at Everton to force a move here. He's an elite athlete, his only loyalty is to his career and that's OK. Having said that...anyone but Liverpool! (But it'll definitely be Liverpool)
  2. Stop bumping threads of our current players man, I keep expecting to see a Romano tweet linking them away!
  3. The day was always going to come when one of our purples was going to leave. It's the reality of where we are in the football food chain, even Liverpool are sometimes powerless to stop their talents getting poached by bigger fish. The question is what do we do with the funds once we make a big sale. It could potentially propel us forward if we use it to strengthen several areas or if we squander the opportunity we could begin to slide back. The way this window has gone, I'm not hopeful.
  4. I agree, sell Elvis Presley and buy The Beatles. Knowing us we'll sell Elvis Presley and buy Elvis Costello on deadline day.
  5. I don't think we've heard the last from Liverpool. When they finally flog Nuñez, probably to one of our Saudi overlords and they turn up to our door flush with cash and could go beyond 150m (if that even is the figure we're holding out for) then we have a decision to make. The way this summer has panned out, I wouldn't trust our custodians to decide what to have for breakfast let alone what to do.with the world's best striker.
  6. I'm not trying to be facetious, but who is in charge here? After the takeover it was clear that PIFs name was above the door but Amanda and Mehrdad were the custodians. Who is taking ownership of this mess? Who is at the centre of the proverbial wheel? We are just one small tile on a huge mosaic for PIF, I doubt Yasir gives a shit about the day to day nitty gritty of running the club, I doubt PIF even have the same level of enthusiasm or appetite for us anymore. The Saudi MO is to throw enough money at something to buy your way to the top. You have to be a lot smarter and strategic than that in the PL, they're probably more interested in their vapid wankbox of a league that no one cares about
  7. If Yasir is going to do anything to mend the situation, he can get one of his sock puppet clubs in Saudi to chuck us 200m for him. If Isak doesn't want to play for us anymore so be it, but he can not be sold to the dippers under any circumstances, let him rot in the reserves if needs be.
  8. I saw this thread bumped to the top of the forum and instinctively assumed that I'd see a tweet from Romano or Ornstein linking him to Liverpool
  9. 270k per week, if true is absolute insanity. Sure, the kid may come good but he's done next to fuck all to prove he's worth that. No wonder the anorexic gimp 'only wanted Liverpool'
  10. Liverpools genius power play: Spend 55m on a player they were hoping to get for free next year cause their far superior CB is getting poached by Madrid.
  11. Yeah, sure, of course his price is too high! Nice try Liverpool, we all know how this is gonna go. Liverpool: How much for Guehi? Palace: Bidding starts at 40m Liverpool: Nah, that's too high, we'll sit this one out. Newcastle: Hi Palace, it’s us again! We are prepared to offer 40m for Mar..... Liverpool: HERE'S 55M! Romano: Guehi only wanted Liverpool.
  12. That's even worse, that means he's a lazy, grumpy, hairy prick whose career will be curtailed due to excessive wine, cigarette and cheese consumption
  13. The Japanese have a high life expectancy, their careers last longer cause they only eat rice and they are well disciplined cause they all have to learn karate, so why are we wasting our time with Europeans and Africans? Let's just get Maeda and Hatate from Celtic
  14. Yep, there isn't much difference in price between Wissa and someone of his profile on the continent anymore. For an extra few million it makes sense to go for a proven PL hitman rather than risk signing a Fullkrug
  15. They're still insufferable. Come on Italy ffs!
  16. The Lionesses are fucking insufferable, glad to see that they're getting humbled. Get it right up yers! Edit: Oh fuck off man!
  17. I hope Romano is right. I also hope Romano pisses out a hedgehog the odious spunk goblin that he is
  18. Just awaiting this: ⚪️ Spurs in advanced talks with 🐝 Brentford to sign 🇨🇩 Yoan Wissa ✅️ Spurs happy to meet Brentfords 50m asking price 💰 Personal terms not an issue. Wissa only wanted Spurs 👀 Here we go soon ⏳️
  19. Sensible signing. Instant upgrade on Callum Wilson from last season. Not a crazy price either 30-40m is bog standard for a PL starter these days unless you're taking advantage of someone in the last year of their deal. Let's just hope the cartel approve this and let us have some breadcrumbs however, experience would lead me to believe that Spurs haven't had their final say yet.
  20. Chalobah would make sense. For that reason, it won't happen.
  21. Players for 30-50 million is the pond we have to fish in due to our finances. With that you can either get a solid/slightly underwhelming PL player or take a punt at someone from the continent. A punt from the continent is ripe for poaching by the cartel, they can afford to have a 40m flop on their books bouncing from loan to loan for 5 seasons, they're less likely to hijack a move for someone like Wissa
