Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)
GallowgatePigeon replied to Miggys First Goal's topic in Football
Despite many good things happening to us in the past 4 years or so, I still can't comprehend a world where Newcastle would have both Ekitike and Isak in the same squad. I refuse to believe it's true, this must be the agents using us to smoke out Liverpool or whoever. Call it bedwetting or Ashley era trauma if you want -

On the bright side, if Ekitike gets poached, it means we can use thr Ekitike fund for an additional 2m on the James Trafford offer and we could probably afford DCLs 100k a week wage demands. Don't forget that Targett is due his pay rise next month too! -

I'm an Ornstien loyalist, but I'm choosing to go all in on Laurens this time. I hope to god we wrap this up quickly before Liverpool or Chelsea mobilise -

Although he's a somewhat known quantity to us, this feels very much like an out of the blue Isak/Tonali type signing where the player has agreed terms and we're far down the road with the selling club before our rivals even have enough time to get their act together to hijack it. Within about 4 hours he's gone from a pipe dream to 'all but done' Meanwhile, James Trafford: -

Wait......so does this mean that Vardy isn't interested in being our back up striker? -

Well this has been an interesting past hour or so. I won't turn the taps on until I hear from Ornstein but can one of you lovely people confirm whether Laurens is worth listening to? I.e. somewhere between Romano and Ornstien? -

Already looking forward to his first interview where he says that moving in 2023 "just didn't feel right at the time" -
Yes, but ask yourself why he is wearing #14. Isak is 25 years old, the 25th letter of the alphabet: Y He wears 14. 14th letter of the alphabet: N The current temperature is Solna, Sweden (his place of birth) his 23°. 23rd letter of the alphabet: W His name begins with A. 1st letter of the alphabet: A That spells out YNWA an abbreviation of Liverpools anthem You'll Never Walk Alone. Including apostrophes, You'll Never Walk Alone has 20 characters. Take away 6 (the amount of European Cups Liverpool habe won) and you're left with 14. He's been hiding his intentions in plain sight this entire time. Surely I can't be the only one seeing this?!

I still don't see how this is anything other than Ekitikes agent using Romano to hasten Liverpool, Chelsea or whoever. This is would too good to be true and the if he did sign, the cynic in me would see as concrete proof that Isak is off. Yes. I'm a bed wetter. The psychological damage the Ashley era jnflicted on me is profound. -

In my experience, every Man Utd fan I've ever met from in and around Manchester has been absolutely sound, we've got on well and could have a normal conversation about both our teams and football as a whole. HOWEVER! Most Man Utd fans I've met who tick all the 'glory hunter' boxes have been absolute dicks and hijack every conversation about football and turn into a discount Goldbridge rant. They're the kind of guys who get their football news from Troll Footballs Facebook page, their football knowledge outside of Man Utd only extends to the Super League teams.

It is the year of our lord 2025. Yet, there are still people who pay any credence to complete charlatans like Edwards, Hope and Ryder. These bums know absolutely nothing. Even Romano has gone from a 'take it as gospel level' source to an engagement farming crook in the pocket of his money grubbing paymasters. Unless it's come from Ornstien (or @Shadow Puppets), any transfer story is likely being thrown out there to fill the information void and generate clicks. Edwards is Frank Chippa without the humour

Exactly. One of the main qualities I could see Gallagher bringing us is the fact that we'd have the ability to play someone competent in CM which allows us to preserve one of our other 3, primarily Joelinton, thus getting the best out of him.

Nice bit of scouting you done there Newcastle. It'd be a hell of a shame if someone else swooped in and hijacked it!

He's already had his chance. He chose mediocrity over immortality.

Why aren't Ruddy and Longstaff in their allocated seats? In fact why are those two even still at the club?!?!
