Nicky
Perminant move it seems. Undisclosed fee. Leeds official site.
Nicky
Newcastle United central defender Paul Huntington has joined United for an undisclosed fee. Paul becomes the second signing of transfer deadine day, following goalkeeper Alan Martin, who completed his move from Motherwell on Friday morning. Carlisle-born Paul, who turns 20 on September 17, has featured 11 times for Newcastle United. Paul, who won the Jackie Milburn Trophy in the summer of 2005, an award given to the most promising young players in the north east, made his Toon debut last season and scored his only goal for the club against Tottenham in January. Highly-rated Paul started out with Newcastle's Academy - he joined up with the first team squad for their Intertoto matches in 2005 - and has represented England at under-18 level. Paul will provide much-needed cover and competition for Rui Marques and Matt Heath at the heart of the defence. http://www.leedsunited.com/page/NewsroomDetail/0,,10273~1103747,00.html

NSG
Quite clear that Sam, correctly, rates Edgar more.
Nicky
Strange it's not a loan like. Agreed. Must rate Edgar more highly. Maybe Edgar could still go out on loan perhaps. Good luck to him.

Guest Guinness
Surely means Faye and Beye are going to sign? Would be ridiculous to let him leave if not. I'm a bit suprised it's a premanent deal, even though I always thought Edgar looked the better of the two coming through he looked as if he might of had potential. M4
Shame... this kind of deal as a loan would have been great. Thought he had a strong potential.
Baggio
Thanks for the goal against Spurs. Not good enough in the long run though.

EthiGeordie
It seems he is not rated by the new management never the less it is always sad to see one of our youth player left the club.
Memphis
Best of luck to the young man. He was clearly not Premiership standard. I was always quite nervous when I saw his name on the team sheet.
