Mclaren is the sensible choice.  If we go down we won't get a foreign manager ie tuchel or garde etc but at least mclaren will be given money to rebuild and it will be more than derby will give him so nufc will be the more attractive championship option.  If we stay up he will be given mega bucks to take the club forward so we don't have another season like this one.  Plus mclaren knows the good players in the championship so that's an advantage  when rebuilding if we do go down.

There was never any chance of us appointing a progressive foreign manager. It's carver or Mclaren. If we stick with carver we are down without question

We need someone in immediately and we won't get anyone better at this moment.

He's another pardew, when it starts to go wrong he has no idea how to stop it. He did well at Boro and Twente first time round but look at his record after that. We needed a foreign manager to try and sort the style across the club, instead it looks like we are getting more of the same

After Derby’s loss to Reading, McClaren said: “I’m under contract here at Derby. What I am aiming to do now is sit down over the next 2 days and talk with the board.

“I’m under contract at Derby and I have no clue what’s happening at Newcastle.”

He'll fit in perfectly.

Can't wait to see what this thread will be called in 6 months. I'm going for Steve Mcunten or Steve and his stupid fucking cloggs

'Steve McClaren's rampant derby thrash hapless Newcastle.  Carver offers out mascot.'

McClaren is shit but he feels like Jesus if he comes in for Carver. What a fucking grim dilemma. But we have to stay up.

We do. But the part right before that is true as well. What a fucking grim dilemma.

Why do we have to stay up? We're just making up the numbers in the top flight.

And what's the point going down to try get in to a league there's no point being in. Its all pointless

The bad thing about him coming is that all the clueless zombies will think Ashley has done a great job replacing Carver and we'll see a full house against WBA.
