The difference between the false 9 and the number 10 is canny simple really. If you use two players together as an example....let's say Beardsley and Cole...imagine that Cole did Beardsley's job and Beardsley was playing somewhere else deeper.

That's it, end of example. It's that simple.

Cole wasn't a penalty box striker? For us? He f***ing lived there man, the Premier League charged the poor f***er rent.

Was he f***. He was always involved in play deeper back.

Howay man, false number 9?

Its bullshuttler

Literally the biggest bullshit opinion I've ever heard about a player. Andy Cole wasn't a penalty box striker? You may as well say that Inzaghi was never offside, it's that ludicrous.

He wasn't for manyoo, but he was for us

You won't get a more perfect partnership in terms of benefit to both players than Beardsley and Cole, like. Close to 70 goals between them that first season up. Just fucking dreamy.

Disagree. Shola Ameobi and Lomana Lua Lua away to Leverkusen, February 2003. Devastating.

If the word is so offensive - I mean Sissoko's best attributes are stamina, pace & power. But he needs space to run into so he has to start from a fairly deep position. Sissoko is useful in wide areas but is perhaps a little restricted to just making vertical runs up and down.

If Colback is a must then:

          Colback

Sissoko        Wijnaldum

As the default 3. We could go with a diamond with De Jong at the tip then play 2 up front. Or Perez - Cabella each side of Mitrovich.

A more flat and boxy formation.. 4-4-1-1 would need Sissoko outwide to work and that limits his game imo.

Honestly not saying this as a joke, but why don't you do a blog about this stuff, that way you can back up whatever you want without it being strewn and fragmented across multiple threads.
