Karjala
Result confirms that the results of the last weeks have been merely papering over the cracks and we are shite. Good performance vs Arsenal, poor vs Brum and shite against Fulham, very lucky to get 7pts from those 3, especially when you consider we hit 2 injury time winners. Next 4 Prem games don't hold much hope, and with a hard last half of season I think my prediction of 12th will be right. Derby 7pts and 4 of those gifted by us Laughable. S.S.R.
No mention of Derby's timewasting, or the referee actively helping them? The cheating c*nt made Given retake a free-kick inside the box because it was slightly in the wrong place. Like it made a f*cking difference. Blatantly ignored obvious opportunities to play us the advantage, let the Derby players kick the ball away, walk off with the ball, etc. etc. They're going down - why not do it with a little bit of dignity. Piss off back to the Championship, and don't come back.
Coxaux
Was I watching a different game to the majority of the board? We were by far the superior team and if it wasn't for defensive deficiencies we would have walked away with all three points. First half we played the ball around pretty well and created openings throughout. Naturally this is irrelevant if you don't take your chances, Barnes took his but where was the closing down, you can't afford to give players with ability that much time and space. Second half began with Derby on the attack but as it played out we progressively improved until we bagged a deserved equalizer. Lets not forget we were only behind due to inept defending by Rozehnal, how can you allow a an opposition player breeze past you in such an important area of the field, it's elementary stuff. All in all it was a shocking result but the performance wasn't too bad. If it wasn't for the same old school boy errors at the back we would have been walking away with a comfortable 2-0 win. Was pathetic the amount of times players went down like they'd been shot, even when there was no-one near them. Dirty little cheats. Still doesn't excuse our performance. Coxaux
We didn't win so it must be time to sack the manager again Of course, he can do no right. Sack the fat bastard, the Richter scale recorded a new high today due to the amount of knees jerking at full time, a clear signal it's time for Sam to go... Cronky
It was a game we should have won because Derby were poor defensively, and we had plenty of chances. We were let down by poor defending. Up front it should be Viduka or Smith but not both. They lack pace and Smith looks far more effective either as the target man or in midfield. Christ knows why people are complaining about 4-3-3, because we played 4-4-2 throughout. The good news was Duff, who looked in very good condition for a player coming back from a long injury. Gaz
What was with the sarcastic cheering of taking Barton off even a couple near me booing what a joke!! Least him, Butt, and Milner were actually looking for the ball (fair enough sometimes gave it away) unlike other spineless players hiding behind players etc.

He just ran in a different direction to Milner when he picked up the ball (ie outside the fullback) without doing anything of note
tmonkey
Emre doesn't play half as well from the start as he does as a sub but i'm sure that will be over looked. Its not even that. Hes a crock, and the best way to deal with a more attacking crock is to bench them regularly and only have them starting the odd game - when theyre not starting, opposition midfielders and defenders dont get instructions like "take him out of the game, rough him up, hes fragile". Thats why Madrid got a whole season out of Owen. Regularly benched, coming on when the opposition were tired and had no gameplan from the off to deal with him (ie rough him up), starting the odd game, it was a good way to reduce the possibility of injury and keeping him at a prime fitness level. I think both of them would be good players to have on the bench. Whether theyd be happy with that is another matter.

JH
Barring matches against us, Derby have 3 points from half a season of football. Extrapolate that and they are comfortably the worst team to ever have played Premiership football. For periods today they played us off the park. Pathetic.
