Teasy
Spurs are a well run club that make a decent profit, they will sell some players they don't want but they will make more signings. What's there revenue and profit per season for the last few seasons? I suppose they may sell some other players to finance some more signings, but without significant outgoings (Bent plus a few more) I can't see them making any more decent size signings. You should be right but they seem to spend big money every window without really selling big Debts building up would be my guess. I'm not talking about major debts of course, I just think they'll need to sell now before they can buy.

Not sure what profit they've made but Jol will probably tell you when he's on, their revenue last season was £103.1 million compared to our £87.1 million, they've got no debt as far as I know and everyone they've bought has been with whats in the kitty, they've got the tv money to add to that this year too. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7318507.stm
Teasy
Considering where Spurs have been finishing in the league table for the last few seasons that's not that great (one reason why they'll be looking at a new stadium soon I suppose). No doubt there next financials will be significantly down when they finish 12th this season instead of 5th like the last couple of years.

As for their revenue not being that great, pretty sure it's more than we've ever made, even when we were in the Champions League.
Teasy
It'll go up because of the extra tv money coming in. Fair enough their revenue will likely go up a bit (12th finish instead of 5th and not going as far in Europe will counter that extra money to a degree). But they have spent £40 million already this year, so it'll be interesting to see if last years break even is already standing at a loss this time around. As for their revenue not being that great, pretty sure it's more than we've ever made, even when we were in the Champions League. Not really a valid comparison.. We made about the same last season after finishing 13th (£87 million) as we did the season we were in the Champions League and finshing top 4 regularly (£96 million).. Not only has the money clubs make moved on since then but so has the cost of players. Spurs are spending a lot more now then we ever spent back then.. They're on the verge of spending more then we ever have in a single season, and we ended up with quite significant debts. I just think that from now until the end of the transfer window anything they spend will be outweighed by player sales.
Baggio
They haven't sold Defoe yet so they will get decent money for him, what they do do well is seem to get good money for the shite players they get rid of, fair play to them for that and I hope we do the same with the players we move on. They tend to get that because they sign young internationals & if it doesn't work out some club will take punt. We are knocking Stevie Carr out for free with Rambo Ramage included. Thespence
I have long held a theory that not one player in the last twenty years has managed to further his career by signing for Newcastle United. Guest kingdawson
Our outgoings will probably look something like this: Robbo £5 mill Cerny Free Stalteri Free Chimbonda £5 mill Lee £1 mill Gardner £1.5 mill Rocha £1 mill Kaboul loan Tainio £2 mill Boateng £3 mill Ghaly £2 mill Taarabt loan Berbatov £27 mill Total = £47.5 million
Cajun
I would sign Chimbonda for £5m, complete twat but a good player.

johnnypd
i'd take Kaboul, i think he has a lot of potential. he should've stayed in france for another season or two, gotten more experience and confidence but instead made the move too quickly. he'd be good as a third choice behind Faye and a new centre-half, eased into the team over the next season or two. Wullie
Rather have two centre halves than a right back shoehorned in as first choice.
