Thespence
Does anyone think Barton should quit from playing football and join the wrestling industry instead. Ridz have you not learned anything from your 'Vince McMahon is dead' experince? The WWE is made up, Barton really does hit & hurt people.
Guest sicko2ndbest
A confrontation was said to have taken place in a McDonald's restaurant. The player, of Widnes, Cheshire, was outside when an unknown man made a gesture towards him. Gwyn Lewis, defending, said he was the victim of a "great deal of provocation" and was being "goaded" in the street. A girl in his group was then assaulted in the street. The goading was said to have taken the form of taunting over the conviction of his half-brother Michael for the murder of Anthony Walker in 2005. SEMTEX
thats one down, just need Big sam, Smith and maybe geremi to get locked up now.. Well Gez is off to Africa... and realistically i'm sure we could get Smith put in jail. He'd probably still get in the team though.
Guest NIToon
Is there any truth in the rumour that Big Sam said he would put up the bail money but Ashley said he would double any offer Sam made to keep him in? I also heard Ashley was looking for footage of Smith for the court as well!

stozo
Should be sacked over this if found guilty. He's a fucking idiot. I backed his signing but this is a disgrace. Forget the fact that he assaulted someone for minute, what the fuck was he doing out drinking at 5am when we have a game against Chelsea this saturday? You missed this bit “He was seen pacing around Church Street and lashing out indiscriminately at people walking around and standing around.”
Skirge
Not shocked at all, we all knew he was like this, all he has done now though is make sure he goes down for the other charges, he is a complete fkn knobhead, but forget the looking for a fight, what was he doing shit faced at 5:30 in the morning. Guest toonlass
I wish for my feelings to be taken into consideration when the court case comes up for Barton's latest assault. "LOCK THE FUCKER UP". He is a knob-end. Whether he is guilty of the charges or not you are asking for trouble walking around a city centre at 5.30am looking for a fight. The lad is trouble and needs to be taught that you cannot put cigars out in junior players eyes. wallop your team mate in training and punch members of the public, even if you look like a Gallagher brother's reject. Tsunami
Professional footballers should be banned from MacDonalds; it invariably leads to them getting into bovver. We should be able to cancel his contract. Gross Misconduct/ bringing the clubs name into disprepute. How can he play for us again? As for BS; as others have said this latest incident may have done for him. MA doesn't need this shit & will not put up with it.

Guest sicko2ndbest
No comment from the club as of yet. from the mirror A Newcastle spokesman said: “The club is aware of an incident. Until we have more information it would be inappropriate to make any further comment.” But an insider said manager Sam Allardyce “will be livid”. Paully
If the players had not spat their dummies out when Big Sam proposed that they travel to London from Wigan in preperation for the Chelsea match then this incident would never have came about. Who would of thought i Sam is "livid" that his most expensive purchase is banged up & misses 2 games.

Dr Venkman
have to echo sentiments that while he is a known dafty, he's innocent till proven guilty, HOWEVER, being out on the piss, or not on the piss till 5.30 am in a busy city centre is just stupid

Baggio
Similar to Lee Bowyer, Barton has to realise with his past reputation and other incidence surrounding his family he runs the risk of being provoked by any pissed up arsehole if he's out on the town, the way to avoid it is not to find himself in the situation where he's likely to be provoked in the first place. Guest toonlass
have to echo sentiments that while he is a known dafty, he's innocent till proven guilty, HOWEVER, being out on the piss, or not on the piss till 5.30 am in a busy city centre is just stupid May be the case, but if you read the court report his own solicitor says that Barton attacked the bloke. Yes there was provocation, but it still does not give him the right to hit someone. SO Barton himself has admitted he is guilty via his solicitor.
