NE5
Alan McInally, Charlie Nicholas and Jeff Stelling. They are ALL saying that zoggy at left back is wrong, Smith in midfield is wrong, and they understand the impatience, having underachieved for so long. It is nice to see, for a change, some sort of understanding and correct analysis of the crisis at Newcastle by national pundits.
Dave
Just said in another thread, I think they pretty much glossed over what most of us are actually so unhappy about.
James
These are probably the only people who have had tosit through and watch our games this season. Lets face it, some members of the national press don't even watch our games on television.
LiquidAK
Also going on about how we'll "never settle down" until Shearer is manager.
lovejoy
aye, saw that. its a shame that the mongs also think we wont rest until shearer is appointed.
colinmk
Well you can certainly see why they would think that..
NE5
oh I don't know. I think they were quite understanding, its not often when they tell people that we are a huge club etc etc without being patronising, but they managed it. It does no harm that they pointed out the mistakes that Sam is making to everybody watching, before some shithead in tomorrows papers harps on about Geordies thinking they are above their station again. The comment about Shearer may well turn out to be true. His shadow is hanging over the club and it appears to be more and more something which is inevitable before we will ever move on. He's going to be linked with the club whenever there is any pressure at all.
Guest sittingontheball
The Independent in their transfer window review say we need a fullback to let Zoggy play in midfield. Its the first thing they say.
Decky
Apparently if Sam won a trophey we would still want Shearer

Guest
Crisis? We're 11th. Yeah, but in 5 games time, the chances are that's going to be 12th or 13th...which is around where Roeder, Souness, Gullit & Dalglish were.

WarrenBartonCentrePartin
Football Focus......... Fatty Pearce:- "Today has no bearing on Sam's future." "If they lose at Stoke next week, that could be it" "Barton's behaviour is his own fault, not Sam's" "Ashley's silence is deafening, and Sam must be wary". and finally, "If they record a win against weakened Chelsea, Sam will be a hero tonight" Lawrenson:- "Its like a soap opera, Ashley is a recluse, but he sits in the crowd and goes back with the fans on the bus. That's a strange kind of recluse!".
