Underrated player? 2x Ballon d'Ors yet never seems to be talked about like one of the best this country has ever produced.

The black and white seats in the east stand were a strong look too. Used to be easy to find myself on highlights as I was in front of the csl box. Wonder how many extra seats it provided getting rid of the boxes.

Aye glad someone else said this. I got a freebie to one in dunston a few months ago. Left at half time cos it was the same stuff you'd heard a million times. Can't blame him like

Is that not true of the whole after dinner/pie and pea supper scene?

I think if you're going to this it's more about getting to spend the evening with Keegan over learning anything new.

Peter Beardsley's was mildly interesting, spent a good half an hour explaining how he's not racist because it said so on the FA's website.

The way this loaded and I scrolled on my phone I genuinely thought the because was going to be that he has black friends

I saw him do talk recently, couldn't believe how much swearing he did.

So disappointing when those stories came out.

I used to be above the 2nd "T" of the Potterton Myson advertising board 3 rows from the front so easy to spot myself on the TV highlights as well.

Yeah ,those seats were such a small thing but aesthetically made such a big difference. Just seemed to appear too at a time the club wasn't known for investment.

Great stuff, when people used to ask where I sat that's how I'd describe it - above the second "C" on the Comet logo formerly the I in LCL Pils. Its a bugger without them (the CL games and when they built over the boxes) got to work it out from the end of the stand if its shown.

I find his post match interviews back in the day riveting whenever I come across them, you'd expect to flick past 30years old pre/post matches interviews, even non-televised feed with him talking to Motson waiting for the link up is great entertainment to me.

Yeah I was row 5 and the first 4 rows were moved for the larger boards for barca in 97 so my yellow kappa jacket was clearly visible when Gillespie started his long run for the third goal.  The mackems 'no fans'  derby in 97 was amusing as there was a gobby mackem in a box.

I remember him - weren’t they kicked out after Grey scored?
