johnnypd Posted January 16, 2008 Share Posted January 16, 2008 in terms of signings? and how much money will he be given? been a long time since the glory days with us and football has changed quite a bit. who are today's equivalents to Shearer, Beardsley, Cole, Ginola, Gillespie, Lee, Albert, Ferdinand? Van Nistelrooy, Rooney, Agbonlahor, Ronaldo, Lennon, Barry, Rio Ferdinand, Drogba? those kinds of players will cost far more than they did back in the early to mid 90s and i don't think Keegan would've took the job if he thought he wasn't going to be backed in the transfer market. the fact he's not been to a game in two and a half years might impact his search for new talent, but then again didn't Sven go out and buy a raft of top class players having only seen them on television? speculate away... Staggeringly apart from kids there are only 3 still here from when he left. Dunne, Sun, and Mills. First one owes his career to KK but is not for sale. Other two are shite but if you want a stop gap...
