Jamie
Nigeria don't look too clever in general. Haven't the whole game, formation is killing them. Martins should be alright in that case then
Yorkie
Fair chunk of luck when he stood on the ball, good goal though. Nigeria had looked pretty strong up to that point. That Taiwo's quality.

James
According to the BBC squad selector, only four players in the Nigeria squad are midfielders.
johnnypd
nigeria desperately lacking width, far too congested in the middle, yakubu, kanu, mikel, martins were all basically crowding the same area and utaka really uneffective. well played tactics by ivory coast tho, played deep and just soaked it up, passed it around, slowed the tempo and then breaking quick as fuck when they sense the nigerians are out of position. boka and kalou down the left have been excellent. The College Dropout
Unfortunately for us, Nigeria's individual strength should see them get out of their group.

Guest LucaAltieri
Is there a reason why they're using a penny floater instead of a proper football?

Dinho lad
Errr...I'm not saying he plays brilliantly, or badly, there. I'm just highlighting the fact that Kanu has played in midfield before. As simple as.
