Shak
I'm having a dispute with an Everton fan on another forum and I'm sure Martins has taken a penalty with his left foot before. I think I'm right but can anyone tell me which game(if any) he took one left footed? That penalty where he nearly scored an OG against Everton was with his left. Ronaldo
he used his left the season before last against Birmingham (h) I think
TaylorJ_01
Serious guffaw at £5m. f*** off Tony. Martins is clearly a good player. If we REALLY need the money then let him go but not for less than £10m, which may be hard considering our new championship status. If our best player wants to stay, then let him stay. He could kill the championship.
QBG
£5m seems alright to me. Injury prone and inconsistent.
Ronaldo
£5m seems alright to me. Injury prone and inconsistent. The injury prone notion is nonsense, he's only had 1 bad season in terms of injuries
Dave
Stoke have said they don't want him anyway.

Dinho lad
Stoke have said they don't want him anyway. Guessing Oba said no then. or maybe they just rememberd that he bottled it against them last season.
merlin
Stoke have said they don't want him anyway. Pulis is clearly not a bad judge of a player then...!

Ishmael
Martins is like 35 now? Probably should have matured by now and isn't going to be the world beater most expected. Oh and he is injury prone.
Dave
Who expected him to be a world beater?

Ronaldo
Martins missed at most a combined 10 games through injury in his first 2 season here. How in the name of christ does that make him injury prone?
Ishmael
What about last season?
Pilko
Martins missed at most a combined 10 games through injury in his first 2 season here. How in the name of christ does that make him injury prone? Erm, last season. Excellent, how you try and ignore that to make your argument more favourable.
Ishmael
Yeah fuck it, Owen hardly missed a game way back when he was at Liverpool - thus not injury prone. Until proven otherwise (i.e. how he fairs in the future) Martins seems to be suffer from an excess number of niggles, of late, which makes him by definition seemingly injury prone. Ronaldo
How on earth does one season make a player injury prone? Was anyone calling Shearer injury in 2001 after he'd basically missed 2 out of the last 4 seasons
Ishmael
Wool/eyes... Martins had a lot of injuries last season, which would mean he was injury prone. Yeah?
Pilko
How on earth does one season make a player injury prone? Over the three seasons he's been at the club, he's missed enough games to niggly groin strains and similar injuries to be classed as injury prone... especially this last season. Ronaldo
Why dont list all these injuries then? Honestly, I swear some members of this forum come straight from rehab

Ishmael
No because he wasn't injury prone the season before last July. http://www.otf2.com/forums/posting.php?mode=smilies&f=1#
Ronaldo
1 season out of 7 makes the lad injury prone. It's premature to call him that
