Nicky
Yeah, I've got a feeling he'll drop Milner as he'll be the easiest. Sad, but probably true.
Liam Liam Liam O
Yeah, I've got a feeling he'll drop Milner as he'll be the easiest. Sad, but probably true. He could drop anyone who played in midfield last week.

Guest salva
Did any good today? For me very good, but we missed more chances and with this is impossible win.
Scribble
Played well apart from once letting their winger get goal side. comfortable on the ball too.
Colocho
Played well apart from once letting their winger get goal side. comfortable on the ball too. How did he deal with Bentley, in general?
Liam Liam Liam O
He was dreadful for the goal though
Scribble
Bentley looked like he played through the centre against Butt, Enrique was up against emmerton. Fairly solid and I think he deserves to keep his place (hopefully with N'Zogbia in fronof him on the wing).
Wullie
Played well. There's a shock.
madras
he also has the weird idea of ,when under pressure, play it down the channel, hopefully a forward may read it and go for (unlucky for him the last forward we had to read that was les ferdinand)

tmonkey
Not a fan. Hes slow off the mark, not very mobile or agile, and seems to be very heavy footed. Almost like a centreback playing at left back. Like with Smith, if the fee had been minimal, the player's averageness combined with his limitations would be acceptable. But we've paid £6mill for someone who doesnt provide what we need from a fullback in the Premiership - hes not agile or quick enough on the ball to be effective going forward, yet hes not looked a particularly good defender to compensate for not being an attacking fullback. And on top of not being particularly good defensively, he lacks the recovery pace and mobility of someone like Beye, making things worse. Again, this doesnt mean that hes shit, just that hes in no way worth the £6mill we paid for him. If we can recoup £5mill, then I would hope we do so without thinking twice, because im certain we could get someone at the same level for far less (didnt City sign Ball on a free or something?). Alot of the £6mill we paid for Enrique will have been down to him being young, an U21 starlet with good potential. But potential seems to be a myth when it comes to us, we'd probably have to go back a decade to Shay in order to find a young player with potential who actually improved with us. So going by our track record, Enrique isnt going to improve by much, and in that case he's nowhere near a £6m player, and we'd be better off with the money in the bank and looking to do another Faye/Beye type deal on the cheap in order to find someone adequate for this level. Rich
Good player imo. Did very little wrong yesterday. And to blame him for the goal is laughable, when no-one was tracking Derbyshire's run. Joey Barton tried, but those pesky lead boots slowed him down.

Wullie
How dare Enrique not deny Davd Bentley playing a simple pass into 60 yards of space?
lovejoy
anyone read the NOTW today? beye's comment is 'about time he settled in toon'. despite the fact he's settled very well since signing. enrique's comment 'spanish defenders have a habit of floppng here'
Thespence
How dare Enrique not deny Davd Bentley playing a simple pass into 60 yards of space? He should of defend the middle ground instead he got sucked into going wide, which made it a easy pass. I thought that was obvious.

He should of defend the middle ground instead he got sucked into going wide, which made it a easy pass. I thought that was obvious. So he should stand off Bentley and go to Derbyshire, leaving Bentley a free run on goal? Right. As was said, without someone tracking Derbyshire, he is damned either way. If we were 2 on 1 like that and didn't score, it would be embarrassing. The advantage is totally with the attacking team against anyone.
